I go to bat for everyone on the team minus McThief. Dragic is a good player, his season last year rivaled Timmy's best years here. I like Rich too, Waiters is better.

Heat forward James Johnson, who becomes a free agent early Saturday morning, said Friday that he would like to remain with the Heat and is willing to wait out a decision by Jazz free agent Gordon Hayward – Miami’s top target - even if the Heat has to put Johnson’s situation on hold for several days.

“I'm a patient guy,” Johnson told me at DJ Irie’s annual golf tournament to benefit the Irie Foundation. “They can take as long as they want. My mindset is winning. I think Hayward can help us win and I'm all for it. They brought me here for a reason and I know they're going after Hayward for a reason and I think his statistics and his numbers that he [produces], he fits in the best here.

the Dragic haters in this thread really show their knowledge or lack thereof.

George Hill is gonna get $22 million from somebody. Kyle Lowry is gonna get maxed out for over $150 million. Teague is probably gonna get $20 million.

Meanwhile, Miami has Dragic who is arguably better than them, at $17 million.

yea I don't understand the need to move Dragic unless it's for an absolute, no-brainer upgrade. He's coming off a career season and his contract is an absolute bargain

Sounds like JJ is prepared to wait it Hayward meeting and perhaps even take a team friendly deal to stay.

I can't see a scenario where we have the money left over for Willie. There's the 4.3 mil exception but he should be able to get a better deal on the open market

I feel like the Celtics are missing out on Hayward and Blake, so I'd be happy if they let Kelly O go and went after Willie. I think him playing behind Al at the 4 or getting minutes at the 5 would be a nice, low key signing, while cutting Zeller, Amir and Kelly O.
