if riley truly only has a "plan a" or "plan b" he truly is washed and needs to to just retire.

it can't be hayward or bust man. :snoop:
Here you nikkas go. There's 2-3 free agents of note, the goal is to either acquire one or circle back around and retain everyone + another lower tier free agent. How many plans are we supposed to have from this field? Jesus christ

Heat Enter Offseason With Only Two Plans

The Miami Heat will have a meeting with Gordon Hayward on Saturday and then go into a holding pattern waiting for his decision. Miami would like to re-sign James Johnson and Dion Waiters with their $35 million in cap space if Hayward decides to sign elsewhere.

"We have a plan," Riley said. "We have a Plan A. And we have a Plan B. There's no D, E, F or G. We feel good about the plan. You never know what's going to happen in free agency."

The Heat could also sign Blake Griffin.

Johnson and Waiters had career years with the Heat on make good contracts.

"We have great respect for what Dion and what James did, and Luke and obviously what Wayne did last year," Riley said, "So, you know, we're concerned but we're also very confident when you go into this process."

Go with plan B Pat. I want those two signed ASAP. I appreciate Hayward visiting us first but I don't want to lose out on our own free agents

Word up meet with our guys 1st and get their opinions on if they are willing to take a discount to bring hayward. U heard dion about feeling disrespected by okc so thats a dude who might get anxiety in that situation again and take the best offer available if on the back burner.

Give him the deal how it would be if hayward comes and how it would be without and see if he agrees on both terms

I think people are overrating Dion in here. He had a good year in a contract year but he only played 46 games. If we can bring him back that's fine but he shouldn't be a priority over Hayward. I don't even think he's a priority over James Johnson.

I can't believe Imma end up defending Riley here, but what the fukk you want him to? The dudes we're in play for aren't needle movers or are very risky(Blake). For the organization to draw legit stars, Miami needs to have a star on the roster, which the Heat don't have.

A few posters have mentioned that the Heat don't have many avenues to improve, Riley is admitting it so fans don't get their hopes up.

Listening to LeBatard right now, and Dan is on the money about this year's FA class. The thing is that the Heat can't wait for next year' FA class, Miami will be capped out next year.
