some combo of 2 or 3 of these guys(long shot I know) would be fine by me.
I think JJ is a lock, or as close to a lock as any of those names. I've heard he's already been given 2 figures to work with, 1 if we go the route of retaining everyone, and a smaller number if we're able to land Hayward.

I think if Riley wants Dion and/or JJ, he can easily retain them. Both players keep mentioning how they want to come back and are seen repping Heat gear, it's gon be interesting if Pat is as high on them as they(JJ/Dion) are on the organization.

Riley had that quote about only having a plan A and a plan B. I feel like plan A is getting either Griffin or Hayward and plan B would be bringing everybody back from last year with a couple mid level type free agents.

I trust Riley and Spo. they've never given me a reason to doubt them.

Cal had a good point when he was on ESPN last night.. when players go to Kentucky, they're asked to do certain things that the team needs since they're so stacked. he mentioned Booker never using a ball screen at UK and now he's one of the best at it. He mentioned KAT and AD not being shooters but look at them now in the NBA. I think this dude has a lot of potential and he's with the perfect team that will get every ounce of that out of him.

I don't always trust Rileys player comparisons.
After drafting them he:
  • Compared Dwayne Wade to Gary Payton
  • Compared Dorell Wright to Tracy McGrady
  • I'm not sure if this last one but I wanna say he compares Daekwon Cook to Ray Allen or something outlandish like that
As you can see I have reasons to look at this particular comment like :francis:
But again if they loved him in workouts and not the others they worked out you gotta just go with it. Lately it seems the team goes for players that fit heat culture and not just great talents with a few exceptions.

I think its the smaller exception, like 4.5 milly
Won't be enough for any of our key FA's but maybe another reclamation project. I think fully healthy this core is just a piece away from making noise, and the more I look at it I think from a talent standpoint Blake Griffin might move the needle more for me than Hayward :ld: especially if the Clippers would be inclined to take back someone like TJ which would clear enough room for Waiters and JJ.

sign and trade?
maybe a 3 way trade

HEAT get Griffin
Clippers get Carmelo Anthony
Knicks get Tyler Johnson and Josh Mcroberts?
