Yea but my whole family has very generic names that could belong to a white family.
The only exception is my littlest sister who was named after my great aunt.
Ironically, she hates her name but I love it lol
I do plan to hyphenate if I get married bcuz my last name is foreign and unique and I want to keep it a part of me.

I wanted to hyphenate because that's what my mom did with me to keep her last name alive since she didn't have a son to, but I ended up just keeping my dads last and took on my husbands. But I let my mom name my daughter a traditional name and I used my former last name on my son as his first name. I think it's really important to keep those traditions alive as well.

Younger black women? With some of these white dudes you need to beat the dust off them like a carpet, and BW will still hold them up like a trophy and they'll still get a praise from other BW. It's almost never called out on, and it's even celebrated to a large extent. I just chalk it up to being a part of the matriarch within the Black Community. Black women are held up as the gold standard by BM and BW alike...they'r called the "backbone" "black queens" (you'll rarely if ever hear titles like "Black Kings" come out of their mouthes) or "goddesses" (and you'll never hear BW actually refer to BM as "Gods"--that would also reduce their status within the community) and other labels that embellish their superiority within the race. Pro black athletes raised by single moms will praise they "mommas" in a heart beat when they make it...but are quick to call out their daddy when they don't

In the BC things are just ran differently...

They make the shots and they call the shots...Everything in our community by comparison to other cultures is completely reversed... in regards to dating, amongst Whites, Hispanics, Asians, Arabs, Indians etc etc...women are deeply shamed for going interracial, while the men get a pass...while in the BC it's completely the opposite...BM are shamed, BW get the pass regardless of the circumstances....Chris Rock said it perfectly in a stand up one time, he said "Black Women get madder than southern White Men about BM dating interracially" ...man the jewels he dropped there were completely on the ball IMO...

Just a small example with celebrities, think about some of the rappers even...anyone from Nas (These are our heroes) or Common (Real People) got shouted out as sell outs by other BM just for being with white women....but I can't think of a single BW who has ever called out BW as "sell outs" for dating interracially.
