This is SWA's first fatality in 50 years and they've never lost a plane. You might wanna look at United, Delta, and American (and their predecessors) within that timeframe.

Damn, that's crazy. I used to fly once a week for work and pretty much used Southwest for every trip. After so many flights you don't really think it'll happen to you.

Of all the cheaper airlines, I'd consider them one of the better ones. But they have some old ass planes in their fleet.

Delta had 42 year old planes in their fleet as recently as 2009. American still has, or just recently, got rid of a large number of their MD-80s. In fact they, still have some. Retirement slated for 2019. Those are 30 year old planes. Y'all just talking out of your asses now I see.

I have a voucher for a swa flight because my last flight was delayed for hours. Those cheap direct flights to Vegas are hard to turn down. More money saved for me to gamble.
People were expecting to see a woman with her butt out the window. Wonder if there are unreleased cellphone videos that we're confiscated by swa or the investigators. Watching Why planes crash on the weather channel

I flew Southwest this past weekend to San Diego and the smoke detector went off in the bathroom mid flight

Even with all that, with me working for a major airline, I fly quite a bit. If it’s my time to go, then it’s my time to go.
