Ward has fought his entire professional career at the super welterweight limit of 168 pounds, although he said in a recent interview that he would be prepared to come down to 160
I thought y'all were talkin about Andre Ward, former Heisman winning Houston QB
I thought y'all were talkin about Andre Ward, former Heisman winning Houston QB
You mean Andre Ware breh
I'm at the Braves game right now drunk off my ass
Forgive me
It's not about competition or a good fight or challenging himself, it's about him losing. People want to see him lose PERIOD! I have never seen so many people brush aside that Canelo was 172 for his last fight and the fact that Floyd has never fought above 152. They don't care about fairness, they just want to see his black ass lose. And I really hope somebody that Floyd listens to pulls him to the side and tells him just that. He aint got nothing to prove to these people because no matter what he does there will always be, well but...
Well, but he didn't fight so and so
Well, but he only fought once a year
Well, but Corrales really wasn't that good
Well, but the ref wouldn't let Ricky Hatton fight the way he wanted
This shyt will never end!
Just because Floyd doesn't rehydrate to the 154 limit doesn't mean all the fighters are that way....its actually normal to go up at least 10-15 lbs past the weight limit come fight night...now there are extreme cases of fighters going up more than that (like julio cesar chavez jr) and its fukked up when that happens but if he makes the contracted weight..regardless Floyd holds a title at 154..if he wasn't about that 154 life he should have gave up the belt like pac did
as for the article..its poorly written and amateurish...there's no feasible scenario where floyd and andre ward should ever meet in the ring at all
I really don't think he gives a shyt about the belt, it's more to brag about at this point as opposed to being anything significant to him, but you really don't have a problem with somebody being outweighed by 20lbs?
