I have a problem with the narrative Anti-African Black people are trying to create by using his comments. Look at the thread title, it was designed to ignite an African vs African-American debate.
My advice to Floyd Mayweather would be to do what Akon is doing with lighting Africa project and get involved in a FOR PROFIT business in Africa. Where your helping and making $$$$$ at the same time. If he wants to become a billionaire investing in Africa is a good move for him.

WTF are you talking about? Do you have piss poor reading comprehensions? You keep mentioning Africans as a whole group when not all African participated in the slave trade. So you're saying a whole continent with a billion+ people participated in the slave trade? A person from Kenya ancestors had no involvement in the slave trade. And Arabs never enslaved your ancestors(West-Central Africans).
Yes there were prisoners of war but there were also slaves that similar to servants that some coastal West Africans sold. And like I said Central Africans(who a significant number of black diasporans descend from) fought hard against slavery when the Portuguese invaded what is today Angola. Like I said it was mainly coastal West Africans who willingly sold slaves. It isn't as simple as some of you people make it out to be. Slavery in Africa as a whole was different from the one practiced in the Americas.
