:laff: ab was giving him a boxing lesson after that first knockdown if he didnt get knocked down that 2nd time he woulda won on the cards
:what:

Check the scorecards again. 117-109, 116-109, and 115-110. Maidana still would've won. And the knockdowns are part of the reason Broner can't win. He can't handle the power or the output.

The 2nd knockdown was followed by the ref taking a point from Maidana for the headbutt. Two judges had it 9-8 Maidana that round. One judge had it 9-9.

And what work? Broner won 3, maybe 4 rounds. That's like saying Cotto gave Floyd work because he took 4 rounds.

from the home of coca-cola, i'm not referring to s
People are insane and that's why I do not take them serious anymore. Before the fight people said Floyd was shook of Canelo, he would never fight him, he would find a way to duck. Then he did everything you said he did and people were like "he was too young/he didn't have enough experience" or "Canelo isn't even good at all" I mean wow I've never seen anybody who is ALWAYS in lose-lose situations with public perceptions like Floyd. People are still saying Floyd is ducking Pacquiao but if they fought and Floyd cleaned him out like 9-3 people would be like "oh Floyd waited till Pacquiao was over the hill to fight" smfh

:camby:
Floyd is in a lose/lose situation because he chooses to put himself there..

You Mayweather sympathizers are pathetic

I have stayed quiet in this matter because most people on here don't understand the business behind boxing. No fighter wanna end up like Tyson, Ali and no promoter wanna be washed up like Don King. In boxing, you gotta invest and gain profit. To gain profit, you gotta market and spend money to protect your fighter (the product). Just like GGGLoves manager said to Ward "This is a business and Ward is not a viable opponent at this time". As boxing fans, we can all scream duck and avoiding an asswhoop. As a businessman, that's a brilliant move however. Boxing fans remain "boxing" fans and the casuals will flock to the next hot thing or the next thing to defeat some fighter they have been praying to see a loss coming his ways. Look at Broner, you think these casuals care who Maidana fights next ? All they care is Broner is a stupid ignorant fighter who got his ass kicked. You got dudes on youtube like El Presador making videos about how Broner got beaten but then said he doesn't even know who the other guy was.

Back to Floyd, I agree with @patscorpio as to why Khan should not be in the mix at all. Khan been a glass jaw and KOd everytime he steps in the ring. Only thing he has is speed. Same speed he couldn't touch people way slower than Floyd and way less skilled as well. Boxing wise, the fight makes no sense. Business wise, that's a very profitable fight especially if they fight in London where those UK stans think Khan can beat Floyd. Add to the fact that, Floyd and Showtime would be paid in euros. Also, let's stop saying Floyd is his own boss. He's not. You think Showtime gonna let him fight Lara ? WHo's gonna buy that ? Cubans? :usure: Bet you, if Lara was a vocal guy and as flashy as Floyd he would have scored the fight. That would be easy to market and Lara would be happy with 3 mil while Floyd makes 30-40 mil. It's sad to say but boxing is a business and greed is corrupting boxing. Now that SHowtime/Haymon has the boxing game in a chokehold, get ready to see more foolishness and bullying since they had to bend over for Arum/HBO in the past. Only a matter of time til we realize Showtime just as bad as HBO.

Let's face it if SHowtime feels like people would buy floyd vs a brick wall, they woulkd make it happen. Then, All access would focus on Floyd's brittle hands and how the fight could be stopped due to Floyd's hands. That's what business is and that's what you do when you wanna be successful in your business.

Floyd can do no wrong now tbh. Both fights would sell, but ppl don't care about Maidana. Even on here the only Chino fan I know is @Mook

Khan has a huge following and of course it's more profitable for Showtime and GBP to put Khan out there instead cuz he will talk trash and casuals would buy into it

WBA super middleweight king Andre Ward has denied a recent statement that was made by former champion Amir Khan, who claimed he had sparred with Ward in the past and claimed his chin stood up to the bigger man's punches.

Khan took to the social networks on Thursday, to explain why he's more than suitable to secure a lucrative fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr. on May 3rd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

During his explanation, Khan went on the offense in response to the critics who continuously say he has a suspect chin. He claimed Alfredo Angulo, who fights at 154, and Ward, who fights at 168, have nailed him with heavy punches during sparring sessions and he didn't go down.

Khan, Ward and Angulo are all trained by Virgil Hunter.

"Angulo and Ward have hit me with big shots and I've stood in front and not gone down. They carry 25 lbs over me and are big punchers. This is because I'm at my natural weight [of 147]. It's in the fans' hands who they want to see me fight. If it's not me [against Mayweather] then good luck to whoever it is."

It didn't take long before numerous fans were asking Ward to provide some juicy details on his sparring sessions with Khan. But there were no details to give, because Ward denied that any sparring sessions had ever taken place with Khan.

"Me and Khan never sparred. Yea, didn't read what he said, but we've never been in the ring together," Ward stated.

:pacspit: @ khan

I think GBP and Showtime are intent on Khan/Mayweather for some odd reason.
