SRR at Welter is the closest to a perfect fighter you can get. He fought against every style (including the shoulder roll) & won. For a reference look at Turpin II fight where SRR was already over 100 fights deep into his career at MW & in his mid 30's.

Mayweather ain't getting sent through the ropes by jake lamotta

nothing in the youtube clip you posted is amazing to be honest.

Ray Robinson is the GOAT not because he could beat all the modern fighters

it's the same reason why Rakim is the GOD MC

He was the prototype, he was the first of what today is considered the modern boxer, so that makes him the goat for establishing that.

Yes he is :heh:

And what happened every single time they fought after that? :sas2:

That's what happens when you dare to be great & take on the lineal MW champ from WW. A HOF fighter beat in one fight another great HOF fighter. And try not to fool yourself because SRR when undefeated after that for almost a decade & 120+ fights into his career before he took another L. Something I highly doubt May could ever do fighting the comp SRR did.

Jake Lamotta was 5'8 with a 67 inch, Mayweather is 5'8 with 72 inch reach

in the modern era Jake Lamotta would be too small to be a middleweight

he knocked Sugar Ray down in the first round, this is Sugar Ray in his prime lol

Floyd would never get touched by Lamotta, be serious.

Like anyone can't get knocked down on any given night

Mayweather struggled with JLC & Maidana who have similar builds to Lamotta but aren't as physically strong. Especially in the JLC fight which was his first fight moving only up 5lbs. SRR jumped from WW to MW. Big difference in strength. Mayweather would have his hands full in a mythical matchup.

Lamatta fought more like Ricky Hatton than either of those two lol

Floyd struggled with Castillo because he had one arm lol

Floyd was 36 when he fought Maidana

Floyd didn't get knocked through the ropes in his prime lol by an inferior fighter.

jake Lamatta too slow to even land a glove on floyd, he'd get beat up bad seriously.

All those old fighters records are padded with cab drivers, the term cab driver is literal, because cab drivers would get paid by promoters just to come get beat up

May still struggled whether he had one arm or not & it was only a 5lbs move up in weight. You & this knocked through the ropes like it means anything. So what he got knocked down. 99.9% fighters get knocked down but it's what you do after you get knocked down that counts. It shows what kind of heart & balls you have as a fighter. He finished that fight on his feet & fought the wrong fight just like Sugar Ray Leonard did against Duran. And what happened the 5 more times they fought? He whipped Lamotta's ass. And that "inferior" fighter is in the HOF.

Man, none of them old school black and white fighters are seeing Floyd at 130-147, fukk the bull. I'm sorry, I respect SRR like a mug, and people overrate his legend, not saying that he ISNT one, they just overrate him. All of them niqqas Sugar fought at those weights will get their ass whooped by Floyd, too slow, less skill, poor footwork, plodding style, and average defense. Will one of y'all niqqas keep it real and stop being scared to go against the grain because you won't seem as knowledgeable? It's an opinion, and most of us ain't keeping it real because we can't go against the narrative of SRR being the greatest, man eff that. Prove me wrong. Most of y'all niqqas never even saw SRR fight and out of the 100+ fighters he fought, 85-90% were bullshyt fighters who would get their ass whooped by most of Floyds competitors.
