If Jake LaMata could beat Sugar Ray Robinson one time, then Floyd can beat him hands down.
It was said Ray tried to slug it out with Jake in that fight which lead to him losing. Ray at 147 would be too strong and fast for Floyd, IMO.

A more interesting fight I think would be Shane vs Floyd at 135

jake Lamotta the same size as mayweather at 147, he wasn't too strong for him.

jake Lamotta wasn't fast, Ray Robinson wasn't too face for him.

Floyd Mayweather's skills a far more advanced than anybody ray robinson fought, this is just facts

Different styles and situations. Henry Cooper damn near KO'd Ali but Ali made easy work with Liston in his very next match.

Mayweather would never lose to somebody like Jake Lamotta under any circumstances

anybody land a lucky punch, that henry cooper is irrelevant, Robinson lost a UD to Lamotta, no way that happens to Floyd.

Robinson at welterweight was very skinny, I don't get this too big stuff lol, how big you think robinson was lol, he's the same size as Sugar Shane really, maybe even smaller.

Ain't no lucky punches. Thats just how boxing is :yeshrug: way back in the day people had more hot and cold days since they fought more frequently. If Floyd thought he could slug it out with someone like Lamotta (which Ray did) I dont think it end to well for Floyd.

Robinson at welterweight was strong and fast

but Sugar Ray Robinson is naturally the bigger man at 5 foot 11 . . his reach is probably much longer as well and with his power it would be very dangerous for Floyd to close that distance
