Why isn't there anybody from the HBO brass talking?....or am I missing something? We've heard from Pac, Arum, Floyd, Roach, Floyd Sr. Espinosa, Moonves, Ariza. Did I miss something?

theres going to be huge hurdles to get this fight going, the fight with hbo/showtime will be the most difficult part of negotiations

Arum would gladly do it for them. That said, it's a lot of shyt about branding. Go back and watch Lewis/Tyson fight to see some things about it. Buffer introduced Lennox Lewis while Lennon did for Mike Tyson. Since Lennox won, Buffer announced the results. It's that serious here.

Let's say it's the networks that is what's left.

I just hope once that's done that bob pulls some shyt he don't like and there not being more time left to negotiate

WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao is still very confident that a fight will happen on May 2nd with WBC/WBA champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. Negotiations continue between both sides.

In recent weeks there have been rumors that Mayweather could be facing WBC middleweight champion Miguel Cotto in a rematch on the May date. Mayweather had previously won a twelve round unanimous decision over Cotto in 2012. Even with the rumors, Pacquiao is still holding out for hope.

"I think it will happen, I believe that," he told Ringside. "If this doesn't happen now I don't think it will, so now is the time. If you ask me what the percentage is, it's 80-20 [that it will happen]. I think he's got pressure. He's got no alibi - blood testing is no longer a problem, Bob Arum the promoter is no longer a problem, now there are no more problems.

"The fans are pressuring him. I tell them we have agreed everything, the rules and regulations are not a problem. And if you want it higher, I am happy with that. I will take 40 [percent] to 60. I'm OK with that - for the sake of the fans. We are just waiting for you to sign the contract."

I have no doubt Manny would fight Floyd and no doubt, for the right numbers, Floyd would fight Pacquiao. The problem is Pacquiao has no say-so in negotiations at this point, because if he did...he'd be able to tell HBO to sit their ass down somewhere and take the same deal they made Showtime take for Lewis vs Tyson especially being that Manny has no exclusive contract with them in the 1st place.

Doesnt matter if TR has a couple deals in place for a few of their fighters. Manny doesnt have a deal at all with HBO to be shown exclusively on their network, so there really is no reason for HBO to holding up the negotiations trying to force the rebroadcast rights issue.

:scust:So if it goes to points and Lennon announces, we already know Floyd won

:shaq:Your move Floydie

He cant make a move with HBO holding up negotiations. Tell your boy to boss up on Arum and force him to get this fight done. HBO is with TR....not Floyd.:mjpls:

No reason for HBO to be holding up the process.

I was reading that Floyd is still talking about Mannys numbers... And from the article I posted, is Floyd asking for a 80-20 split?
