I mostly ask about Floyd and Rigo and the mainstream guys. He is going to LA this week end for some fights. I don't know who's fighting. He said there's also good amateur scraps in San ANtonio next month. I don't know breh, I ll just ask.

I asked him about Briggs since I know he knows Briggs but he didn't say much.

Oh, one thing he put me on was that Sergio injury was told to Cotto's camp.

Just ask and I will ask him breh. He is cool as hell
I'm assuming he only knows about fighters stateside so... hopefully I'm wrong on that assumption

-Did Malik Scott take a dive against Deontay Wilder?
-Any word on Roy Jones Jr.'s next fight?
-What happened with Iron Mike Promotions?
-Cotto's personal problems......... are they boxing related? If so, could he elaborate? If not, nevermind.
-Finally, any talks about Anthony Dirrell's next opponent?

Still to much talking and not enough action. If this fight is gonna happen it needs to happen now. It's crazy that it has been 6 years since they first started negotiating this fight in the media.

Hearing from multiple people now Mike Koncz and Pacquiao agreed to their percentage split etc but Arum is not happy...I don't know if he is using HBO to try and get more for himself but this explains why he's been vocal in the media again claiming imaginary contracts were signed...Anytime that old dusty prick speaks before a fight is signed its never good...:smh:

MIAlien's info vs. LeVrai's info :lupe:
I'm not doubting any of the @LeVraiPapi info. I just know Cotto was always between Floyd and Canelo. If he could make the Floyd fight happen he wasn't going to sign with a promoter because of Haymon. If he had no shot or the Canelo $ was better, then he'd sign with one and take Canelo. He also wasn't married to Top Rank and was talking to different promoters.

So based on what I was told, Cotto passing on Canelo means he's close to a Floyd fight and they offered him more than Top Rank/Canelo. Doesn't mean he'll get it. Just means his chances went way up from a month ago.

It could also end up being some sort of ploy on Haymon's part to keep that May 2nd date open and put pressure on Pac. I don't have any insight on how Floyd's camp is handling this though. Just assuming there.

#ChavezCoalition weighs in on the Mayweather/Pacquiao negotiations:mjpls:

Chavez Sr. Blames Arum For Mayweather-Pacquiao Stall
Posted by: Miguel Rivera on 1/20/2015

By Miguel Rivera

Mexican great Julio Cesar Chavez Sr. has blamed promoter Bob Arum of Top Rank as being the reason for Floyd Mayweather vs. Manny Pacquiao not being finalized.

Mayweather was once promoted by Top Rank. He bought out the remainder of his contract in 2006. The unbeaten fighter has refused to do business with Top Rank since then, and even advised Pacquiao to leave his promoter in order to make a fight between the two of them.

The negotiations for Mayweather-Pacquiao are once again underway, with no clear answer in sight on whether or not the fight will actually happen.

"It's a natural fight, that the audience wants to see. I think the obstacle has been Bob Arum. If Bob was not there, the fight would have already taken place. But anyway, hopefully in 2015 this [fight will become a] reality for the benefit of boxing and the people who want to see this fight. It is a fight anticipated by many," Chavez Sr. said to ESPN Deportes.

Chavez Sr.'s son, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., is currently involved in a legal dispute with Top Rank.

Mayweather To Pacquiao: You Agreed? You Have No Say!
Posted by: Edward Chaykovsky on 1/20/2015

By Edward Chaykovsky

WBC/WBA welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. spoke out publicly for the first time on the ongoing negotiations to make a mega-fight with WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao on May 2nd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Pacquiao recently stated, in several interviews, that he agreed to all of the terms - on his side of the negotiations. Bob Arum of Top Rank, who promotes Pacquiao, says his company is also satisfied with the terms.

Based on Mayweather's comments, the fight is not as close as everyone seems to be writing.

"Hopefully its Mayweather-Pacquiao [on May 2nd]. Of course we are trying to make the fight happen between me and Pacquiao. Are we negotiating? Absolutely we are negotiating. But Pacquiao said that he agreed to everything. What did you agree to? You have no say so. You have a boss. You don't have no say so. You have a boss.....that's called Top Rank Promotions. It's not called Pacquiao Promotions. With my company, it's called Mayweather Promotions," Mayweather stated during an interview with Shade 45 Radio.

"We have been going back and forth, communicating with their team. Hopefully we can make this fight happen. Once again, we have to look at his pay-per-view numbers. His last fight didn't even do 300,000 homes. Figures make sense. He did get knocked out not too long ago. No matter what you say, Floyd Mayweather still winning. When they take shots at Floyd Mayweather, he still winning and making hundreds of millions.

"We're going to make it happen though. We're trying, but it's been extremely difficult dealing with Top Rank. And I don't want to sit here and point the finger at Pacquiao and say 'it's him.' It's not Pacquiao, it's his promoter. A lot of times when Pacquiao says 'I agreed' - you don't have nothing to do with this, you're not a boss. On a chess board you're a pawn."

This nikka Mayweather just be going in on Pacquiao everytime:mjlol:

But, on another note...what I took from that is this: Floyd said "we have to look at his pay-per-view number. His last didnt even do 300,000 homes. Figures make sense." meaning to ME that thay ARE being held up in negotiations over the split that @LeVraiPapi was talking about in his post on page 47 from his insider (Arum wants a bigger ppv split and using HBO to basically "do his dirty work").

Floyd ALSO said "I dont want to sit here and point the finger at Pacquiao and say 'it's him,' It's not Pacquiao, it's his promoter." meaning to ME that the info that, again, @LeVraiPapi posted on page 47 is correct, because that's what his insider told him and sounds like what Floyd is going off about.......Arum is holding up the fight.:banderas:
