Every Mayweather fight is exciting, because it's the curiosity of seeing can be finally be touched, can be finally be humbled, but in the back of the minds of everyone is they wanna see the MAGIC, they wanna see the spectacle of Floyd Money Mayweather, that's why all the celebs come out, that's why boxing is a mainstream sport whenever he fights.

Nobody was on Tyson level either, people didn't care, it was the spectacle of seeing Iron Mike destroy whoever was in front of him.

Back in the day you had you had numerous Mayweather's(swagger, skill, and box office) in boxing: Hagler, Hearns, Sugar Ray Leonard, Duran, The Beast Mugabi, Hector Macho Camacho, etc. I love Mayweather's skill but too me he's more of a product of reality tv and that there's nobody else out there or the fact that he fights alot of less skilled boxers. Plus throw in the heavyweight division= we ate so good back in the day and now all we have is Mayweather. that's it. I don't think that many people are into Mayweather's skills like that. the boxing heads are but the general public is just happy that there's a name brand fight to watch and a reason to party in Vegas.

The truth is there is no one for the dude to fight. People want to see him in a good fight, that Cotto fight was great. But the problem is there is no competition for him so he`ll continue to have boring fights where he has to overbook the opponent.
