The Sweet Science
:ehh:

But that means that every fight he has for the next few fights will be bunnies at best, which means he's gonna have to finish every one of them and even then at the end who will be Floyds final fight? Manny is no longer worthy. He's beaten everyone else.

Not saying this would happen but Floyd fight the Ghost, then Canelo if he can get by Trout or at least lose a tight decision(because my understanding is Floyd vs Saul Sept 14th was part of Canelo fighting on the undercard) take on Sergio the maybe Trout(if he wins or at least puts up a good fight against Canelo and has another strong performance or 2 afterwards)

After that it gets real tough to chose and becomes contingent on what other guys are doing Maybe Bradley, Lamont or Devon or some up and comer makes a huge push(broner) in between or in place of some of the earlier mentioned fights.

Manny can get back on the power pellets then win a few decisive bouts to set up the most brutal ass whooping in memory and Floyd retires 50-0 as the general public(peons) are forced to acknowledge his greatness :whew:

here's how i think the next 5 fights will play out

1st fight - guerrero
2nd fight - winner of canelo-trout (wba/wbc at 154 unification)
3rd fight - sergio hopefully or 2nd fight with jmm
4th fight - sergio or whoever is the next fighter to beat berto at 147 :russ:
5th fight - whoever the ibf champ at 154 is (k9/ishe/molina)...nah i can't see a fight with those 3 being marketable although im a fan of molina but :manny:

They are saying if all 6 fights happen then it'll be the largest individual athlete contract of all time. A-Rod's contract is 275 mil, meaning Mayweather is probably getting a $46-50 mil guarantee a fight + his normal cut from the gate, etc. He's looking at 70+ mil a fight if they sell (which they will), IMO.

EDIT: If JMM beats Pacquiao again then I see a Mayweather-JMM 2 as a possibility

Yeah from the rumors I heard he should be getting no less than 80 million per fight, staggering:ohlawd:

I didnt want to post until I heard some more sources, lets wait and see. But from what Ellerbe said Showtime deal completely blew HBO's out of the water, saying HBO came to a gun fight with a knife, he was already getting about 50/60 mil per fight with the gate and all, so it may be reasonable......

Damn I wouldn't want to see JMM fight Floyd again but with the field the way it is at 147 and 154, it is what it is. :manny:

I think everyone is really getting stuck on the "six fights", thing.

It's up to six fights. This deal is in essence like a car warranty. 30 months or 6 fights, whichever happens sooner.

I'd expect five fights out of it. Floyd's last four fights have been on either Cinco de Mayo weekend or Mexican Independence weekend. May-Sept-May-Sept-May then he's back to the negotiation table.

And that's if he stays at 147/154. If he decides to go to 160 he'll definitely take more time.

LOL@Floyd Stans thinking he's gonna fight 6 times. Yall muthafukkas are delusional. Well okay maybe he fights C/D list fighters in a span of 2 years.

This is garbage though, aint nobody gonna pay to see him fight the likes of Alexander and K9.

Floyd usually fights twice a year (May/September) so you figure he should be able to get about 5 fights in...
