Florida's resume > Notre Dame's

If you mean teams that were ranked at game time, ND doesn't win there. It's same amount...except OUR ranked teams >> your ranked teams, with the exception of Tennessee.

Against worse teams? You do.

Are you referring to the UGA loss? Because that wasn't a home game. That was in Jacksonville.

...except Jacksonville State and Louisiana Lafayette are both D-I teams. We played South Carolina, LSU, and UGA all in the space of a month. All stout teams that could have competed in the national championship. All of the "studs" on your schedule played disappointing football basically from the jump.

Stupidest criterion ever.

...no SEC? Unimpressive.

The fact that Florida wasn't good enough to even make the SEC title game and Notre Dames final schedule will include the winner of that conference really ends your whole argument. You play who's on your schedule. They were unranked taking on top teams in the country on the road, OK, USC who was #1 at the time. Those teams losing to ND all contribute to them not being higher on polls. You can't fault them for taking on an extremely tough schedule for a unranked team entering the season and playing the SEC champ easily will make theres the toughest.

You know who else didn't make the SEC title game? Last year's national champion.

Let's not do the whole "Notre Dame is the reason these teams aren't ranked higher" thing. You can't tell me Michigan State and USC did not consistently demonstrate how over-ranked they were. It's blatantly obvious.

dap and +rep.

Resumes aren't close. ND should have been treated like the Boise teams or Utah who were left out of the title picture.

You're just being a salty fakkit because the Gators are being left out.

SHUT THE fukk UP ALREADY. Florida has absolutely no claim of being in this game over ND, none... whatsoever.

Again, SHUT THE fukk UP.

Tennessee beat NC State. Tennessee was killed by Vandy and finished 1-7 in the SEC.

Arkansas was laughing stock in the SEC this year. Yet, their loss to Rutgers..Final score: 35-26 :ehh:

Kentucky was 2-10. One of their wins.. 47-14 against a Kent St. team that is going to be in the BCS this year :heh:

Missouri is not bowl eligible yet they beat Arizona St. out of conference and almost beat Syracuse (who still has a shot at the Big East title  ).

..and yes, Auburn who is fukking terrible this year lost to Clemson by a score of 26-19 :ehh:

Bottom of SEC stay competitive out of conference.

We got one loss and they dont. Their resume is better than Bama's & Georgia's tho

I personally think ND and Florida should battle it out based on resume. I understand you have to put UGAG ahead of them, but I think Florida should get in over Bama and UGA based on their schedule. Same reason I thought last year that OSU should have gotten in over Bama.

Gotta agree with this...now Florida being over Bama or UGA....you can legitimately make a case for being over Bama easy. Even UGA if you are looking at the Ls taken.

Michigan was 8-4 in a down year for the B1G. USC was 7-5 and ND beat them without Barkley.

Stanford is ND's best win followed by OU.

Lets look at 2006 as an example. Boise crushed a 10-win Oregon St. team. They beat an 11-win Hawaii team. They won @ Utah. They won @ Nevada. Then they won against Oklahoma in the bowl game.

Is there that much of a difference between what Boise did and what ND did?

ND struggled with BYU, Purdue, triple OT with Pitt...

Yes, they went undefeated and they deserve to have a chance to play for the title but so did Boise. The only reason ND gets the shot and not Boise is because of past rep. That's it.

You're actually comparing ND's Big 10/Pac 10/ACC schedule to Boise State's WAC schedule? In the regular season '06 Boise played a 4-7 Sacramento State, 9-4 Oregon St., 6-6 Wyoming, 10-3 Hawaii, 7-5 Utah, 3-10 Louisiana Tech, 4-8 New Mexico St., 4-8 Idaho, 4-8 Fresno St., 8-4 San Jose St., 8-4 Nevada, and 1-11 Utah St. Oregon St was the only team ranked team that they played

I agree on paper we have arguably the best resume in the country and hampered by that loss to UGA. I can't name you UGA's 2nd best win this season and the same with Bama.

ND schedule though, at the time they played there opponents, was and still is a tough schedule. I don't care how you slice, regardless of what conference you're in, going undefeated is tough as hell in this day of age.

Did you look at the cupcakes on ND's schedule (and how they struggled with them) and why are you leaving out their bowl victories (Oregon St., Hawaii, etc)? That goes a long way in proving that these teams can play.

You are inflating the B1G and ACC on name value.. you're not looking at the actual teams.

Fact is.. what team has beaten more top 15 teams than Florida? A&M, LSU, South Carolina and Florida St. ...all W's
