Gators
lol at mentioning Michigan. I might as well mention Vanderbilt who finished with the same record
If you mean teams that were ranked at game time, ND doesn't win there. It's same amount...except OUR ranked teams >> your ranked teams, with the exception of Tennessee.
Against worse teams? You do.
Are you referring to the UGA loss? Because that wasn't a home game. That was in Jacksonville.
...except Jacksonville State and Louisiana Lafayette are both D-I teams. We played South Carolina, LSU, and UGA all in the space of a month. All stout teams that could have competed in the national championship. All of the "studs" on your schedule played disappointing football basically from the jump.
Stupidest criterion ever.
...no SEC? Unimpressive.
The fact that Florida wasn't good enough to even make the SEC title game and Notre Dames final schedule will include the winner of that conference really ends your whole argument. You play who's on your schedule. They were unranked taking on top teams in the country on the road, OK, USC who was #1 at the time. Those teams losing to ND all contribute to them not being higher on polls. You can't fault them for taking on an extremely tough schedule for a unranked team entering the season and playing the SEC champ easily will make theres the toughest.
Vandy gave Northwestern all they could handle on the road.
Then they beat the shyt out of Wake last week.
Most of the B1G/ACC don't even want it with Vandy like that.
dap and +rep.
Resumes aren't close. ND should have been treated like the Boise teams or Utah who were left out of the title picture.
You know who else didn't make the SEC title game? Last year's national champion.
Let's not do the whole "Notre Dame is the reason these teams aren't ranked higher" thing. You can't tell me Michigan State and USC did not consistently demonstrate how over-ranked they were. It's blatantly obvious.
We got one loss and they dont. Their resume is better than Bama's & Georgia's tho
You're just being a salty fakkit because the Gators are being left out.
SHUT THE fukk UP ALREADY. Florida has absolutely no claim of being in this game over ND, none... whatsoever.
Again, SHUT THE fukk UP.
Michigan was 8-4 in a down year for the B1G. USC was 7-5 and ND beat them without Barkley.
Stanford is ND's best win followed by OU.
Lets look at 2006 as an example. Boise crushed a 10-win Oregon St. team. They beat an 11-win Hawaii team. They won @ Utah. They won @ Nevada. Then they won against Oklahoma in the bowl game.
Is there that much of a difference between what Boise did and what ND did?
ND struggled with BYU, Purdue, triple OT with Pitt...
Yes, they went undefeated and they deserve to have a chance to play for the title but so did Boise. The only reason ND gets the shot and not Boise is because of past rep. That's it.
I personally think ND and Florida should battle it out based on resume. I understand you have to put UGAG ahead of them, but I think Florida should get in over Bama and UGA based on their schedule. Same reason I thought last year that OSU should have gotten in over Bama.
You're actually comparing ND's Big 10/Pac 10/ACC schedule to Boise State's WAC schedule?
You're just being a salty fakkit because the Gators are being left out.
SHUT THE fukk UP ALREADY. Florida has absolutely no claim of being in this game over ND, none... whatsoever.
Again, SHUT THE fukk UP.
well we WOULD be favored over ND on a neutral field.
Just saying
but yeah our chances got thrown in the bushes losing to UGA, i wished we would've los to LSU
