Society has me so fukked up thinking college is the only way to make livable income.

I still want my degree to have it, but I don't want to only have getting jobs as my only way of getting income.

Do you have posts on how you got successful doing this on here somewhere?

I tried the freelance stuff and all I found were jobs paying 400 a month for 40 hrs a week, I'm clueless with this, but want to make money on my terms.

You tell me why people aren't doing it...there's a whole thread on The Coli that has some crazy ass gems in it as far as making money and learning.

I've tried sending links and info to my family and friends but everybody wants to go to their normal 9-5s.

Do some research and find out what you'd be good at or what you'd like. Find out what courses/certificates etc are needed in order to get a job doing what you want to do. Go to Udemy, pay $10 for a course, and teach yourself what you need to know then go pay for your cert test and take it.

Hell, if you want to do more digging on your own then more than likely you wouldn't even need Udemy because Youtube, blogs, and everything else is out there.

GOOGLE is the ultimate tool...why people don't use it, I'm not sure. Anything you want to know is out there but you gotta apply yourself. I'm no expert on none of this shyt but between Odesk, Upwork, Textbroker, Transcribe Me, Fivver, and a few other sources, I'll be damned if I ever go into anyone's office again...

I say still go ahead and get your degree because it will look good no matter what direction you take in life, even in Freelancing. BUT, it's definitely not the only way any more.

Honestly, I only post this kinda shyt on here when I get irritated at certain comments like some I saw in this thread, so I've never really had the time or thought about putting something together and showing step-by-steps ways in a thread.

At this point I do feel comfortable doing that though because I'm at the point where I don't feel like my toes would be stepped on, so maybe when I get some down time I'll make a thread and throw some pointers out there.

There's no magic to any of it...it's all what you learn and how much effort you put into it. You can watch all the videos and take all the classes in the world but this shyt still takes time and effort to even learn the process of successfully bidding on jobs through Freelance sites or getting people to give you your first assignment or two.

I'm not rich or wealthy or nowhere near it, but like I was saying above, I did appraisal management for 5 years and last year I made a little bit more online than I ever made in a year doing that, all while being able to create my own little schedule, being able to be with the kids more, play the game more, smoke more, etc...

I've been to almost every state in this country and every state has a city or two where black folk have numbers and are doing decent. Then you have the lesser cities where black folk struggle more. That's from florida to new york to California.

How did you make a living off of that? I heard they paid very low. I figure asking an actual person is way Better than reviews.

I do a combination of things so Textbroker isn't the only way, but if you're a 4 or 5 star author the pay is like $8 per 400 words...I can research a topic and write 400 words about it in 30 minutes. Also I've been accepted into a couple author teams that has clients with tens of thousands of orders that are higher paying than usual. I do Textbroker on "slow" days or sometimes just to jumpstart my brain in the morning (if I don't get on Rocket League at 6am to jumpstart my brain)

Definitely respect reviews, but I've found that with a lot of these sites people don't have the know-how or don't know how to use the resources to get things done quickly and efficiently so they write negative reviews. I don't use them often but there's article spinners out there that will generate %90-99 UNIQUE content just from pasting a few paragraphs into them. I don't use them often because I don't want to pay for them and all the cracked ones get shut down.

If you ever jump into anything that deals with making money online, always search for bots and/or scripts that will increase your production.

The native black people have a better relationship with the poor white people than I've seen in other states in the South though. Florida is weird like that.
