How is that legal?

Desantis made it legal breh

Also they can cancel by sending an email. Not by mail. Just an email or even a text.

My hate for Florida is getting too much

In case you think I’m lying breh. Read this

Apparently they thought the storm was coming to us in the Bay then found out storm was gonna hit Naples multimillion dollar area in a few hours and had a change of heart.

Brehs FL is trash. Like no joke. It’s just trash. My insurance went from 3k to 10k in 1 year. My neighbor insurance company cancelled his because a tree was too tall. They just decided to cancel. No notice nothing. He shopped around until he found one that said they would cover it but the insurance deductible gonna be 15% or 15k meaning he better have 15k at least if his home gets damaged. If the damaged is less he gets nothing.

All this because of Fat ass Ron Deshamtis aka salami boy. fukk that POS

The kicker is they can cancel the policy at anytime though. That’s what happened last year. The policies got cancelled 2 hrs before the hurricane hit. Trash ass fukking state man
As an agent in the state, I want to clear some of this up.

Ins in Florida is ass. It's beyond broken.

But, you can't be cancelled without 30 days notice.

Everyone to complains about some shyt like this? They're lying. 100% lying. :pachaha:

What REALLY happens is ins companies send out cancellation notices (for bullshyt or legit reasons, usually bullshyt) but people ignore them or don't take them seriously until it's too late.

Want to know something else?

The rate increases we're seeing right now got approved before the last two storms :pachaha:

These rates are a response to carriers leaving the state BEFORE the death and destruction came twice last fall. There's going to be an even BIGGER correction this year.

You're not reading what you posted.

This guy got a cancellation notice during the moratorium. His policy wouldn't have been cancelled during the storm but if he didn't fix whatever the issue was he would have been when it was lifted. So he got citizens instead of waiting.

There were two cancellation moratoriums places down here in the state. You couldn't. E cancelled 60 days during it or 30 days after. But once the smoke settles these companies went back to business as usual.

But any time people are talking about last minute and cancelling me outta nowhere? It's cap. It's literally illegal, and these systems are automated. All those letters, emails, and voicemails people ignoring from "bill collectors" and scammers etc? Yeah, that's the legally mandated paper trail. You get time for a cancellation and you get like 4-6 months for a non-renewal. If you're a responsible homeowner.

The problem with this industry is cost, regulation, and the philosophical quandary between a state run insurance system that is the only hope and a republic government and voter base who would rather die and drown that enact a good government policy that would help millions.

@ PA
Outside MIA, and Disney (for the youngins/experience), folks could keep FL. Too wide-open, too many weather threats, too much highway driving, too many geriatric cacs, etc. :scust:

Nkkas might be broke in the city, but you could always walk out your door, and catch an opportunity. That poverty down south hits different, when everything is miles away, or out the way. Folks are fukked, in those situations. It's cool to get in, and get out.

Breh there were people in the news who got cancelled just a few hours prior. I was told by State Farm they can cancel my policy at any time without any reason or notice because FL is an at will policy state.

This one old but that’s when the fiasco started

Bruh. I just explained everything to you. I got nothing else to say. I told you the rates we're seeing this year got nothing to do with last years storms, but with carriers leaving the state, and what did you send to me? An article from 2021 about carriers leaving the state.

I know dog. :pachaha:

Their are laws about cancellations, non-renewals, and notices. They haven't changed. These companies give the paper trail every time. It literally never happens. It's not the problem here.

Texas is next
Kiiiinda. The Gulf Coast is a problem area but and large the state isn't gonna really suffer through this insurance problem.

The Carolinas though :jbhmm:

Florida by far has the worst issue here but the Carolinas face a lot of the same issues, but have way more of a genuine purple government. Interesting to see how it plays out there.

Louisiana is the only place that has it worse than Florida. If that's the direction we're headed :dead:

I know you neggas wanna run interference for FL and Desantis but you’re saying the people that got their policy cancelled and were on the news about it are lying ?
I've taken time out of my day to try to clue you up on the happenings in your state, and even provide you with some insight into what to expect next year and because you're irrefutably wrong about one thing I'm running interference for DeSantis?

Enjoy that insurance rate hike my next posts was gonna be some advice on where I think the best steps for us homeowners in the state are and the only real progress I see being made short term in the industry but it seems you got this dog. :salute:
