He just proved that he doesn't though. Major UFC fights and most championship boxing matches don't get the top sports headline today.

Show me the last sneaker company period that had a lead sports headlines (especially during a major sports league playoff). I'll wait.

U act like sports journalism is still high quality in 2017 scrubs like Tim Tebow got lead story news for playing in some scrub baseball league too what's your point?

Headlines are nice, marketing is nice, but that don't = money though.

If they DO start getting a lot of orders, thats not always a good thing, that only furthers the need for more financial backing because he needs $$$ to:

A.) Fulfill orders, B.) re-stock, C.) put money back into the business for future development, D.) give any profit on the back end to himself or his sons.

Keeping an inventory is EXPENSIVE as fukk. They prob just developed the prototype, want to see how the pre-orders go, and then will try to take it to different major companies/investors to try to get funding, because there's no way they are gonna hve the money to keep pouring into this unless he's sacrificing the majority of Lonzo's rookie contract.

Ehhh i dunno. Those legit look like sketchers to me. The Lonzos look atleast decent to me.

I thought the original Starburys looked decent though and i always respected the hell out of him and Shaq for trying to put out quality ball shoes at affordable prices.
To each it's own...Those Lonzos look plain as hell to me & definitely don't look like a basketball shoe. 90% of my shoes are retros so most of these new designs are ugly to me anyway :manny:

It's just not these shoes either, I feel the exact same way about the Yeezys

i respect what lavar is doing but it's unfortunate that militants are hijacking his vision to turn it into something that he never said it was about.

lavar never said he was doing big baller brand for black people, he's just a dad who wants to capitalize on his kids success and make sure he and his kids are the only beneficiary of it. and that's commendable.

leave the "support black businesses" talking points or calling people c00ns who don't support it shyt out of it.

buy the shyt because you like the shyt or you like lavar or lonzo, because i have a feeling lavar gonna do some shyt down the line to show you dudes he aint as "pro-black" as yall think he is.

Yeah shoes are definitely a personal preference. I never understood the yeezys either. Supposedly theyre comfy as hell but they looked so ugly and dull to me. Like goverment issue shoes from a jail in the future or some shyt.

I'm a female so I can't buy a woman's shoe that doesn't exist yet. And I have influence in real life, you're bugging if you think I haven't sent a bunch of money #BBB way already. But if you wanna go strawman do you want me to get the receipts from all the people I fukk with that purchase anything from them?
:sas2:

I want you guys to see the fukk shyt. All of these guys arguments are changing, let me start pulling up quotes because every time #BBB answers their critiques, their critiques change.

I wonder why some of you guys are so invested in saying something that has done better in one day than any sneaker startup in sports history isn't a success?

Exactly, it's perfectly fine to question charging $500-$700 out the gate for some shoes based on a unproven NBA rookie.

It's something that can either be genius or crash & burn.

You seem to equate success to people talking about it or a website headline.

All I care about is money, because Lonzo is passing up $15-20 mil AT LEAST so his dad can play pretend CEO. So all that really matters here is dollars and cents. We don't know any definitive answer on that, but logic would tell you that they would need to sell 6 to 7 figures pairs of shoes before they start making any REAL worthwhile profit off of it.
