Aquaman has bad perception of being a p*ssy ass character deserving so or not.

They trying to make him look like someone to be respected and who can put in work next to guys like superman and batman. So far so good in my opinion.

Dc is going dark and gritty like others have said. I for one love the way Dc looking, to the point where I watch marvel movies like its almost for kids. Dc's theme makes the movies feel more realistic to me also. All bright, campy, and jokes all over the place. Not to say they are bad films just the direction aint for me.

Aquaman LIVES in the ocean meaning the dude swims often which mean he would mostly liked be extremely lean with broad shoulders.




Scientifically, if somehow humans were to live under water they would not have the muscled look of that Jason has currently. Muscle weight is heavy and the water pressure from above would crush him with all that muscle mass

This is a comic book movie and he's looks like hook handed , beard having aqua man so he's fine

I would have rather had a more movie-esque movie magic meets the Travis charest aquamarine retread suit be used.

Even with a beard, he still looks like the All-American prettyboy...with a beard. Namor has some color, dark hair and attitude.

Aquaman spent all of the 90s and a good chunk of the 2000s with the long hair, beard and Conan of the Sea look.

Namor has looked like this for pretty much his entire existence.

He has had long hair and a beard in flashbacks when he had amnesia and for like 2 seconds in the 1990s.

Momoa's costuming is perfectly Aquaman. His looks as a Samoan are the only non-Aquaman thing about him and that would be true if he were playing Namor too.

Superfriends certainly didn't do him any favors seeing that he was pretty much useless during missions. A lot of the Aquaman malaise stems from this cartoon.

I think Mamoa's version is about to correct all of that.
