WBLS still popping ? Didn’t know but may tune in every now in then when I feel like listening to local nyc radio (especially on my nostalgia vibeKiss died a horrible death so all we got left is WBLS. And their programming is good. They curate Soul and R & B to perfection and DJ Bedrock, Red Alert and especially DJ Scratch do Hip Hop justice. Their artist spotlight is dope as well where they play and talk about 1 artist for a couple hours on Friday night. That's the station that respects Black culture and has I think exclusively Black voices/DJs.
If you aren't into R & B like that I suggest Friday/Saturday nights. That's when they get on a heavy Hip Hop vibe.WBLS still popping ? Didn’t know but may tune in every now in then when I feel like listening to local nyc radio (especially on my nostalgia vibe)
Aside from that, you only get the type of job he had in radio by knowing someone. So clearly he had a connect and I’m sure this history was discussed at some point. It’s all a big coverup.ppl forget Google is basically a recent thing, but still he was someone with a criminal record, was no background check done? what qualified him to work there and who if anyone helped hire him? that's what I want answered.
yeah because black folks don’t got other issues to attend to
like employment, healthcare, pandemic, police brutality,
you really are a clown bruh
I know like me during Hot 97 heyday you were most likely on some Fukk Hot 97 shyt. And we followed and supported the artists that went against the pop radio grain. Let's give them their flowers: Big Hip Hop acts that went directly against them include:I won't even ask you how. And a double entendre
Bars.

Ed was there before Paddy Duke was hiredEd Lover angling for a handout from Ebro.
If he didn’t know in 93, it’s because he chose not to. The case was very much prominent in the city back then.
Ebro is a c00n who chose to protect his white paymaster for over a decade. If this documentary never came out he would still be giving him dap today.
Can @Waterproof ,@Stick Up Kid yall take this beef somewhere else or mods get on your job...this is pointless dribble
I know like me during Hot 97 heyday you were most likely on some Fukk Hot 97 shyt. And we followed and supported the artists that went against the pop radio grain. Let's give them their flowers: Big Hip Hop acts that went directly against them include:
Nas - aired them out on the rival station and giving the rival station life. He suffered a ban of like a year or 2 because of it.
Wu-Tang who said Fukk Hot 97 on stage at their own big concert Summerjam. They suffered a 5 + year ban. I think they said Fukk them during Wu Tang Forever's run and didn't get back on until Ghost's single w/ Neo "Never Be the Same Again".
The list fukkin' ends there!
I'm not even from NY and I been on some "Fukk Hot 97" shyt since the 90s. Only shyt I ever cared about from them that I could catch when I was in college was Future Flavas.
But add M.O.P. to that list. I remember buying the Handle Ur Bizness EP on vinyl in high school and this is the intro track clowning Angie and Hot 97.

Respectfully, just because you didn’t know doesn’t mean someone higher up on the food chain didn’t know. Somebody always knows.
In this particular situation an ex employee of emmis/hot97 admitted she knew.. she found out a few years after working there, and only when Paddy became her direct supervisor. That in itself is very telling that information like this was so freely given to a subordinate.
