Man, there's no excuse why UMD doesn't have first dibs on recruits from the DMV. I thought for sure that they would have hired Leach after they ran Friedgen out of there. Edsall turned O'Brien from sugar to shyt like someone else said. If Edsall keeps stinking up the joint, they need to fire Anderson, the AD too.

Lowkey, i think it's more of an issue of what they want the image of UMD to be..

seems like they trying to go the Duke Basketball route in recruiting.. without any of the results...just to say they recruit good kids, and to avoid a "thug" aura of the team

on everything, UMD should have first dibs on all talent from DC, PG, Baltimore and even Northern VA.


So what if your squad looks like they could be getting off at Anacostia,Benning Rd,or Deanwood... it's better to have a UF/FSU/ Miami atmosphere and be a winner...than to have good character kids and never win shyt.

I would just prefer my college teams with recruiting infractions lingering. Do what it takes to get the best players and deal with the consequences later. Give me 3 national championships in a decade and I'll deal with the fallout of the NCAA taking banners down and revoking heisman trophies. "I want winners"

1. fukk Danny O'Brien. One-hit wonder ass nikka. Couldn't tough it out at MD, went to Wisconsin, sucked and got his ass benched.

2. Randy Edsall is a fukking moron, but if anything, Mike Locksley will make sure that MD is at least in the conversation with most of the top prospects from the DMV. If it wasn't for him, we wouldn't have Stefon Diggs and without Stefon Diggs, I cringe at the mere thought of where the offense would be. I have no idea how any of these nikkas will be eligible next season, but he got Derwin Gray, Jermaine Carter and Cavon Walker from Friendship coming in next season and hopefully Yannick Ngakoue will re-commit. If they can Jalen Tabor for 2014 ...

3. If they win 6 games with Hills at QB and the offensive line acting like human turnstiles, Edsall - dipshyt and all - should be ACC Coach Of The Year.

4. Deon Long is coming next year. Him and Diggs will be lethal out wide. However, I also fear their talents will be wasted if the line is still shyt and either CJ Brown comes back from injury and still can't throw or Hills wins the job next year and shows zero improvement.
