I know a nikka who's starting at Penn State now and has been starting there damn near since he was a freshman, went to my high school and didnt even get recruited by UMD. They only had him as like a 2 star recruit but damn the talent was there and he's waaay better at his position then the nikka they got now.

the idiot ran Danny O'Brien out instead of modifying his offense for him. He is an idiot.

Honestly Im glad Danny OBrien left. Dude is mad talented and doesnt deserve to waste away in MD, when he turned from sugar to shyt all in one year while under Edsall, I knew Edsall just wasnt a good coach and that his offense aint shyt.

seems like they trying to go the Duke Basketball route in recruiting.. without any of the results...just to say they recruit good kids, and to avoid a "thug" aura of the team

on everything, UMD should have first dibs on all talent from DC, PG, Baltimore and even Northern VA.


So what if your squad looks like they could be getting off at Anacostia,Benning Rd,or Deanwood... it's better to have a UF/FSU/ Miami atmosphere and be a winner...than to have good character kids and never win shyt.

Most of the VA talent is in the Tidewater region. Hampton Roads, Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Norfolk, Newport News; those towns. Richmond spawns a lot of talent too. Maybe you'll find a few other good players in Lynchburg and Culpeper. But Alexandria, Dale City, or Front Royal up in NoVa? Nah, there's nothing but track athletes up there.

I'll give you DC has talent (not like Tidewater though), but Haden, Arrington, DHB, and Barnes are all Maryland folk. NoVa isn't much of a recruiting hotbed.
