Inconsistent, lazy, would rather spend his time soliciting pawgs at night than perfect his game
None of that is true (cept maybe the PAWG part my knowledge of his PAWG love is limited) He's consistent and plays hard as hell and through injuries. Lowry is the only guy that could be argued as playing harder than him. He's also improved a ridiculous amount from when he first got here.
He can defend 4s and 5s, runs really well for a big, always shoots a high %(he was 1st or 2nd in the league for most of the year in shooting %), boards well and gets blocks and steals.
The only legit criticism would be that he's kinda injury prone, but I think ppl don't like him just because hes not a high scoring guy and give no fukks about everything else he brings.
ross is on a rookie contract. amir is an expiring this year, you hold onto him until the trade deadline to see what's available. they are not going anywhere soon

I don't think people hate Amir, I think they realize that he is quickly breaking down and has 2-3 good years left in him at best. Dude has a frail bone structure, is prone to falling, and has a reckless playing style. Injuries have taken away from his game. Not to mention that Patrick Patterson is a better player right now, imo, because he has a very reliable jump shot, plays good defense on the perimeter and near the rim, and is a decent rebounder--what Patrick Patterson gives up on defense in comparison to Amir he certainly more than makes up for on offense.
A healthy Amir would be ideal, but we only get that guy 20-30 games a year now, and not for more than 30 mins a game--his body is breaking down, he's done unfortunately, which sucks to say because he's my favourite Raptor.

Exactly...I thnk Patterson takes over the starting PF job by mid season hes got a more reliable game that doesnt just rely on athleticism and "hustle"

Exactly. Amir and what he brings is not enough anymore for what the Raptors are trying to accomplish. We need a more consistent player at his position.
