I don't think that's a bad thing...to have the same squad back. We got a good core. We only need a true #1 option. If Derozan can grow some balls and play like he did in the 4th quarter of game 2 against the Nets all the time then we will have a guy good enough to carry the offence. But I just don't think he's good enough to keep it up for a season. So we gotta somehow land a true #1 option.

We are also going to have a some cap space next year. Hayes, Fields and I believe Amir are all in the final year of there contracts. We have good cap flexibility in the coming year.

I think we should trade Amir now while he has value as both a player and an expiring contract. He can contribute on a good team that doesn't need him to play as many minutes as we do.

I agree somewhat. But I think we should wait till close to this years trade deadline. But that might be playing with fire. B/c apparently Amir's ankle is really messed up. But ya, he is a pretty good trade asset. And I am not against moving him at all.

I think we gotta trade him now. Cuz by the trade deadline he'll probably have missed games already and been banged up from being overplayed.

Also, I think Patrick Patterson is a better player at this point. Amir has become woefully inconsistent. Getting an asset (preferably a draft pick) for Amir Johnson would be ideal.

Why does everyone here seem to hate Amir?

He plays hard, shoots a stupidly high %, defends, gets boards and even added a 3 point shot this last year.

I agree with you on Amir. But Ross is going to ball this year. I am fully on the Ross train so you and @CantStop can hate on him all you want. I will be defending Ross even if he is absolutely useless this year. Ross is my dude, sink or swim I am riding with him.. :smugdraper:

The Bawse is going to have a break out year.. :win:

I can't disagree at all with you breh. It is a gamble to wait till the trade deadline no doubt.

I think we should keep Hayes. Dude is a good vet, and he comes off the books next year. He will be a good expiring contract at the trade deadline. And if we can't trade him, we need cap space for next year FA period. Dude is money in the bank for next year.
