Because I read insights from reviews? Mind you I don't give a fukk about the scores. Now back on topic, the list please. Im sure you can also get them from strategy guides.

So yeah that frog catching shyt was the low point for me. Im sitting there 4/5 frogs running in circles for like 6 minutes looking for the last one:mjcry:
shyt is garbage.

But trust some of these side missions are worth it. The big side Mission at the spot for the Chocobos is :whew:
What you think is just another hunt mission turns out to be wild. I wont spoil it but it looks like if you get a sidequest from one of ur party members, its gonna be some crazy shyt! Got another one coming up that Im saving for my next play session. :whew:

I don't usually agree with IGN and Gamespot reviews but they are spot on with their reviews. Shyt ain't surpassing both VI,VII or any games up to X anytime soon.

- Hollow characterization of side characters. Might force you to buy DLC for additional stories.
- Lack of skills variety. Summons in this game is only 7 and 4 are the only ones playable. Magic is only Fire, Blizzard, Thunder and Death :dahell:
- Lifeless MMO-style side quests
- Lame ass storyline
- shytty camera angles on close spaces
I feel like this game is kinda like Dragon Age Inquisition. I think over the long term people will turn on it just like they turned on that game. In the short term though I expect things to be mostly positive just like Dragon Age. A lot of the props it gets is because people had such a strong dislike for the previous main line title.

You can never really gauge the reaction to a game on launch day or even a few weeks out. It takes about a year or so for people to fall into their true feelings on a game. For example people gushed about Metal Gear Solid 4 when it came out and after a fair amount of time passed a huge backlash hit it and now it's considered worst main line game in the series and bad in general. This is a game that took many GOTY nods when it came out.

Its not bad at all but in terms if story it literally feels like you're a leaf blowing in the wind. I also wonder why they decided to downgrade magic in the game. At times I'll hit an enemy with a spell and my allies will accidentally stumble into the aftermath so I mostly quit using it.

Just turned on to Twitch to watch this and two guys are sitting on a billboard at night and one is talking about his feelings like he's about to cry

:wtf: is this soft shyt
It's the best scene I've seen in the game so far.

Are any of my fellow PS4 Pro users having frame rate issues running on High quality on the visuals?
Its running fine in my eyes.

I switched it to low quality just to see the difference once...saw those textures and switched back.

I played for almost 9 hours yesterday without a problem(last day before classes started back:francis:) .

If you want my one sentence thoughts on this game here it is: what Tales of Zestiria is to the Tales of series Final Fantasy XV is to the Final Fantasy series.

If you're looking for story out of this game you're probably better off looking elsewhere. Unless something drastic happens at the point of chapter 5 the game barely has a story at all. I'm talking like hey Mario Bowser took the princess go save her level story or Link go to the temples and gather the power and go fight Ganon. The story is about that deep so far.

It suffers from the same problem that Final Fantasy XIII did in that the game is so focused on the main cast that the world itself doesn't matter. It feels like the developers wanted to make a game about 4 bros on a roadtrip and everything else is there just to support that. It's a crime they removed the invasion from the game. you should have been there and a part of it when they took your kingdom and had you and the bros barely escape but instead you go to sleep in a hotel and wake up and your boy hands you a paper and tells you.

If the story was going to be this barebones why have an anime and a movie to further develop it? The movie especially hurts because it removed stuff that should have been in the game.

The protagonist is on par with the worse characters in Final Fantasy XIII such as Vanille and Snow. He's a reluctant hero full to the brim with so much angst he doesn't even know who to lash out at. at one point in the middle of a crisis he's bytching and moaning to one of his buddies and dude just flipped out on him like I don't wanna hear this shyt I have a job to do and that's protect you so stfu and do your job and become king.

It's weird what they've done to magic because there's so much collateral damage in using it that I'm discouraged from doing so. Also it kinda sucks there's no healing magic in the game to heal your party. You have to use items. Other than that the battle system is good. I like the warp strikes and team up attacks. The battles are chaotic but still fun.

All the side quest I've seen are very basic fetch quest or monster hunts. This isn't in deep Fallout / Skyrim quest line side quest that make you feel like you're doing something. This is more Dragon Age Inquisition style side quest that feel like padded filler. The chapters are very short, so are the dungeons so if you don't do the filler it seems like you'll blow through this game and 3-4 days tops.

I'm enjoying my time with the game overall enough to keep playing but after I see this through I'll probably never touch it again. I wanted a more story focused game and that's not what this is. Here the story is just something serviceable enough to prop up the concept of 4 bros on a roadtrip rather than something that matters. I'm hoping that changes as the game goes on but I get the feeling it won't. Tales of Zestiria was like that too. The story was barely serviceable.

I can see people who don't care about story as much liking this game more than me but I'm leaning on 7/10 at the point I'm at now. We'll see how that changes.
There's supposed to be DLC story and a new MP mode in the future so I may come back to this time to time. I kind of just want to finish this and then go back to Persona 5.

For those who haven't picked it up and are debating.

TL;DR Basically the game looks better on Ps4 pro and plays better on xb1

Final Fantasy XV performs pretty well on both consoles, with a couple of minor caveats

Prior to the launch of Final Fantasy XV, I was a little apprehensive about what the overall performance of Square Enix's long-anticipated role-playing game would be like. Both Final Fantasy XV: Episode Duscae and the Platinum Demo each had their own share of technical misgivings, with performance on both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 not being at a level that I'd like. As development went on, it was becoming quite evident that Square Enix was putting in a great deal of effort in order to optimise the game for both consoles, but I still had my own doubts about whether or not the final product would run at an acceptable standard.

It appears as if Square Enix's efforts to improve the game's performance has not been in vain. According to Digital Foundry, both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of Final Fantasy XV with its most recent patch (1.02) perform rather well, although each console has their own share of minor problems that detract from the overall experience.

Anyone who has played either Bloodborne or the console versions of Dark Souls III should be familiar with the PS4 release of Final Fantasy XV's biggest problem; irregular frame-pacing. While the game does run at 30 frames per second at almost all times, these frames are not delivered in a consistent manner, which then manifests itself as a form of stutter while in motion.

I guess you could say that on PS4, Final Fantasy XV suffers from the Dark Souls of technical shortcomings.

The only way to currently play Final Fantasy XV on a PlayStation console while also minimising the effects of irregular frame-pacing is to run it on a PS4 Pro and to select the game's 'Lite Mode.' This mode will still run at 30 FPS, but the stutter is relatively minimal, meaning that the game itself feels a lot smoother in motion. As I've been playing Final Fantasy XV on my own PS4 Pro, I can definitely confirm this to be the case.

Square Enix has also announced that it intends to further optimise this game mode so that it will eventually be able to run at 60 FPS, although this isn't in place at this point in time.

Oddly enough, Digital Foundry noticed that the Xbox One port of Final Fantasy XV doesn't suffer from frame-pacing issues. Frames are delivered in a consistent manner, meaning that the game feels smoother overall. That's not to say that performance in this version of Final Fantasy XV is superior in every way, as it does occasionally drop frames when scenes are particularly effects-heavy. Not only that, but the game runs at 900p at most, meaning that the image is often blurrier than what you'd find on Sony's console. It's also just not as appealing to the eye as it could be on a 1080p (or higher) panel.

Sadly enough, this does mean that it's simply not possible to play Final Fantasy XV at a truly stable and consistent framerate as of this moment, even if both consoles come very close. Thankfully, it looks as if Square Enix is dedicated to further enhancing the game, as it's already confirmed that the developers are working on patches that will contain additional improvements to performance. I can only hope that these issues will be smoothed out in the future.

I have 63 hours into it so far and even playing it with about say 60~75% understanding of what's being said at times it's amazing in pretty much every facet. I have no doubt it'll be a classic. Game should easily hit about 90+ Metacritic. The only thing I can see someone preferring from 4 is probably the music/theme since 5 is darker and feels more like a SMT game too.
