Combat is fly...It was really frantic in the first few hours...but now I think I got it down....

I don't usually agree with IGN and Gamespot reviews but they are spot on with their reviews. Shyt ain't surpassing both VI,VII or any games up to X anytime soon.

- Hollow characterization of side characters. Might force you to buy DLC for additional stories.
- Lack of skills variety. Summons in this game is only 7 and 4 are the only ones playable. Magic is only Fire, Blizzard, Thunder and Death :dahell:
- Lifeless MMO-style side quests
- Lame ass storyline
- shytty camera angles on close spaces
Wait there's no magic beyond fire ice thunder and death?

Only 4 are playable. Yikes.

But how far are you in the game?

Wasn't Final Fantasy 15 supposed to be a stripped down action game to begin with? I always remembered this game touted as a completely different game from the others. I'm not expecting this game to resemble any other FF before it game play wise at all.
Is that what people are upset about?

People are mad because the game isn't Witcher.

As a final fantasy fan my complaints have not impacted my gameplay.

I want tons of spells and summons attacks. So far what I have at my disposal magic wise is fine but that may change.

The melle action is the meat of the game which kicks ass. Yes you hold circle to attack but moving the analog in different directions makes him do different attacks and you can switch weapons mid attack for nice combos not to mention counters that lead to big damage from team attacks. You are meant to use your teammates to a large degree. They are not useless characaters. Many matches you will lose if you don't learn how to team up properly Dodging jump attacks and warping also play a big factor in gameplay style. Leveling up gives more finesse and style to the character giving more combat options. You can also initiate team attacks mid combo and things get very chaotic. Combat isnt the problem. It's more final Fantasy traditionalists but I understand wanting an epic roster of magic and summons.

Story if you aren't doing whatso right in front of you is non existent. Side quests don't seem to add to lore

Each band member has a variety of team attacts to use. Combat has not bored me yet. Def takes finesse to fight enemies at night because things get so brutal.

I think what people hate the most are the light hearted side quests. They are upset more by what they heard and less by what they played. The game itself is 25 hours and the thought of fetch quests and fighting monsters doesn't appeal to them. It appeals to me though because the enemies as I've seen haven't been to redundant. They take the dark souls approach and enlarge enemies instead of doing massive pallet swaps yet the enemy variety is still fresh.

People trying to go off the path and treat it like it's open world in the first chapter will find there isn't much to do if you aren't sticking to side missions and monster hunts that become available to you. You won't be walking into the hills and finding hidden dungeons like that. You'll find an area that will later be used as a side quest or mission. So far so good though. Don't understand the raw hatred.

Copped it yesterday, but didn't even open it yet. Can't wait to play though, but I think I'm going to try to focus on only 1 AAA style game at a time and I'm running thru Uncharted 4 right now, as I put it down mad early after day 1 buy, mainly due to focusing on SFV in the precious time that I wasn't either in school or dealing with family. With the new TV and Pro tho, I'm about to get my binge watching and SP gaming on tho now that school is done for the time being.

the camera is legit killing this game for me...i havent had trouble with a camera in game since ps1 and n64, shyt is inexcusable. It makes it really hard to follow the combat, and fighting in duscae at night or fighting near any trees is a joke, camera flying into the bushes and shyt. :what: Wasn't there suppose to be a camera fix w/ that 9 gb patch? how was it even playable before the "fix"?

there's some options in the camera options you can check out. The camera is really the most annoying aspect of combat for me.

Yeah breh Ive tried everything already in the options. The far option sounds cool on paper but how am i supposed to dodge shyt and effectively hit i cant even see wtf is goin on half the time? these nikkas need platinum games to come show them how to do this properly...otherwise good game but nikkas straight glossing over how terrible that shyt is. Its like the main enemy in the game is getting the camera straight :francis:
