They werent. Just giving the fans a tease and they took it to seriously. Hopefully in the future they reserve demos to 2 months before releaseFFXV has dynamic weather/time system so there's no detail taken out to improve something else. The geometry is improved, the lighting looks better(should be the same time of day since that's from the intro), the detail on the ground is much clearer, the shrubs are more plentiful and overall the image quality looks better. It just looks much better. It may look playable to you even in it's older builds but Square Enix usually drops high quality looking games so them rushin just to have it out is a disservice

Nah man, the reason people been real hard on FFXV's visuals is because they dropped that shytty Platinum Tech demo which made the game look bad and even worse than the first Duscae demo. Then on top of that every time they showed the game they were showing old builds that didn't look very clean and was rough.
The latest footage they showed look pretty good. The retail release will have extra polish due to the delay so it should be skraight on PS4 at least. The Larrybox version lookin a lil... nah it's lookin mad ruff though

Witcher 3 not even in my mind when looking at FFXV. That game is different.

The Gamescom image is from a higher quality video yet the most recent Japanese gameplay is from youtube which is lower quality yet it still looks sharper.

How's the movie?
I'm watching the movie now, half way through and I already think it's better than Spirit Within and AC. Gaf fakkits don't know what they're talking about.
No way is this seeing Advent Children. This movie is weak for the simple fact that I don't know who any of these people are and have no reason to care about them. I'm mainly interested in the video game characters.

At least AC had the whole fan service thing going for it. The action set pieces in this movie are good. The plot is so bad it has further reduced my expectations for the game.

I never finished The Spirits Within but Advent Children was way better than this. The main character of this was decent the rest of the Kingsglaive I don't even remember their names. You can also tell they held story out of this movie to keep it for the game. Luna and Regis clearly has some sort of understanding about her visions and the future and it wasn't explained to the viewer so they can get into that during the game. Nyx is supposed to fight to " save the world" just being told that?
Watching that after Kingsglaive gives new meaning to how much was changed in XV. It would have been better to play as a part of the invasion than have it be a movie. They took several scenes from that trailer and repurposed them for the movie.
