Square needs to realize we are in a dark era now so they have to make games somewhat mature for these cynical dead sould clowns.
Finalnfantasy xv could have been saved had they focused on summons, limit breaks and spells.

You take a game like Final Fantasy 7 which had summons spells and limit breaks and compare it to the Magic in Final Fantasy 15 and there's a big difference in terms of a lack of gameplay content
Jerking themselves off to their world building instead of perfecting gameplay.To me it just feels (still does) like Magic and Summons are really only made for bosses....that's probably the dumbest thing I can wrap my head around considering we came from a series that had All - Fire - Mimic materia. Only to have one shot magic(s) and an RNG summoning system. Honestly, they dropped the ball even compared to the KH series.
I never understand when developers drop a formula that works, and that people want, to try and revitalize the new game. Studios like CDPR and Rocksteady just said "fukk you if you don't like, its staying in the game". In the Arkham games they just changed the tint of detective mode slightly, and in Witcher 3, you hold a button for Witcher sense, instead of it being on a (small but annoying) timer.
Gutting summons and magic though? I don't even see how that's a good idea to begin with.
