Ardyn was a pretty good villian tho. Better than a lot of previous FF by far. Can't shake the huge detractors of the game tho, but many other reviewers and gamers elsewhere say the same.

He's top 5.

Only because of his swag. People didn't even know what the hell his point was until the very end. And it was only after you delved DEEP into the Lore that he became a really good villain.

FF hadn't really had a good main villain since IX.

he legit destroyed the whole fukkin world lmao. I really wish I could fight through that world and see how far I got, after I beat the game.

Man if Kingsglaive and Brotherhood were somehow incorporated into this game it would've been ill as fukk.

Start the game as it does with the boys just fukking around trying to run a warptrain on Cindy and break away to do Kingsglaive (backstory on Luna/Ravus and also how the Empire got Nocto's dad).

Brotherhood could've easily been a part of the game.

- Sporadically show Noctis having nightmares about that Daemon killing his mom and his dad saving him.
- When Gladius first leaves, show his backstory and why he cares about Noct.
- When Ignis gets blinded, show his backstory and how Noct started respecting him so much.
- Chapter 13: SHOW PROMPTO's backstory and how hard he worked to fit into the group while Nocto is trying to save him.

Game could've been absolute piff. It's honestly one of the most fun FF's to play, but the execution of the story is absolutely

You can go back later in the game via umbra the dog when you rest at an inn or hotel.

Let me ask you this, have you found the post game content rich enough? Though the dungeons aren't varied, I've enjoyed the secret dungeons a lot and the high level hunts. Basically the game becomes all action later. I've come back around on that alone.

The story is muddy at best but the fun is there.

Nah. I play games primarily for the story. If there isn't a goal story wise I'm playing towards I lose interest pretty quick. I tried to get back into the post story content but with nothing new happening it felt too much like a chore to me. I'll most likely get the dlc though.

The rest of the game will be linear and IMO incredibly boring and frustrating. You'll get the option to go back in time, the question is will you even care at that point.
