Just turned the regalia into a plane. Looks dope. Shame it's only available after you beat the game. I'm actually getting a little more life out of this game since you can go back to the beginning. I guess I'll get all of the royal arms and do all of the hunts before retiring this game. Currently at lvl 50.
Oh and I killed that giant black bird, and a dragon that was in this underground dungeon where you find the upgraded headlights.

I got all of the royal arms and am currently doing the endgame dungeons. All of my characters are at level 99 and I think once I platinum/finish hunts I will be done with this game. I only have the adamantoise and max fishing level trophy left to go. First two endgame dungeons were nothing but rooms of enemies so I'm hoping the others have more variety.

I'm gonna beat adamantoise tonight or tomorrow night.
Its an overhyped HP sponge. Like most of the fights in this game, just take a bunch of elixers with you and hold R1 and Circle and you'll be fine.

Are you not able to get all of the Royal Arms before beating the game?

I believe you can get them all before beating the game.
Around the end of chapter 7 I started to get bored with the game so I focused on doing story missions only.
I think the only thing you CANT do before beating the game is turning the car into a plane. Everything else is technically accessible but unless you did a lot of grinding you wouldnt be strong enough to do.
For example, the Crestholm Channels dungeon I did last night where you get the upgraded headlights has some pretty strong monsters in there, and it has a legendary final boss that will destroy you if you aren't at least lvl 40 and have a ton of elixers and phoenix downs.
Same goes with some of the higher level hunts.

I think I made it to that dungeon.
Is that the dungeon in the sewer with that Snake boss that turns you into toads?

Yes thats the one, but that isn't the final boss.
You have to hit the 4 hidden switches. It'll open a big green door and down there there's a powerful dragon. That's the final boss of that dungeon.
That boss you mentioned was a pain though. I used up every maiden kiss and golden needle I had. I didn't think I was gonna make it at one point.

Why didn't you just equip accessories that counter those effects? I didn't complete the dungeon or that particular boss, because my level was a lil too low at that point, though I didn't have too many qualms with it's enemies and the foot soldiers protecting the entrance (in fact regarding that lil brigade of soldiers, I body them so badly and quickly with my strategy that I was like, "ehhh perhaps I'm more than levelled up enough for this area right now anyways, to which I was level 34-ish I believe). That boss fight had me leave tho cuz I wasn't doing high enough damage vs. damage I was taking and also, the those status effects was getting to me as well, to which I could've employed the right accessories, but didn't even think of it at the time. What really made me leave tho on top of those other facts, or even moreso, was how shytty the camera was and tight that space was during that fight, that I felt it'd been way too long and difficult at my current level to endure it. I'm strong enough now tho, but haven't ventured back there since.

Beating the secret boss helps unlock the sealed dungeons.
I wasn't even looking for it either. I was legit lost and ended up running into all 4 switches. I had been past that big door a bunch of times as I tried to find my way so when it said that a big door was unlocked I knew exactly what they were talking about. I had no idea that dragon would be down there though. :merchant:

I believe all of the ones that aren't story-related Arms, you can get them. But since some dungeons are around Level 60 or so to complete, you're better off beating the game and then going back to get it done. I still have a few Arms to get, and I beat the game about a month ago.

Really love the game in itself, but it needed a lot more meat to the story. But I understand why Square had to release it when they did, otherwise the fan base would've went crazy. People already lost their minds when they had that two month delay. I'm happy though that they're going back in and putting more stuff into the game, and giving us the DLC episodes with Gladio, Prompto and Ignis. Hopefully that adds more story depth and explains a lot of things better than how it was presented in the base game. The game is definitely an 8-8.5/10, it just needed more.

Square just screwed the fanbase over by releasing an incomplete game then charging for DLC storylines that should've already been in the game. That's the industry today though. :yeshrug:

I'm like...story wise, what's the point of the Arms then at all if you can beat the game w/o even gettign them all and is essentially not only the preferred thing to do, but also, the game apparently steers you in that direction to do so?
