Being in a recommendation system.
the guy who posted all this info said that square wanted a main line FF game out this year no questions. square already had a deadline when tabata took over.. if this game came out two months ago it would have been worst then what we got and that 12 remastered going to be
never got to really get into 12 but i played all the games around it such as tactics 
shyt might be my favorite games on handheld.. whole world of 12 is great

Open world doesn't work for rpgs not called witcher because devs rely on gimmicks and can't create enough story based gameplay

I beat this game in 38 hours after completing over 40 sidequests.
Ill say this though, usually a normal playthrough of a Final Fantasy is around 40 hours so it is what it is. But with 15 the majority of my play time was just sidequests which is why it definitely feels short.
This game is good, to me it was worthy of the name. But throwing out speed runs to determine game length is ridiculous. Its short for a Final Fantasy IMO. I could have done without a lot of that extra legwork for sidequests and have had the same or better experience. The sidequests in this game were not fulfilling like in the other games, just a means to an end for experience and money.

Whats crazy is I've went through most final fantasies several times just to replay em. But Chapter 13 makes it so I never want to go through this game all the way again
I think they were trying a Metal Gear Solid 2 (naked Raiden part). Chapter was designed to make the player uncomfortable and frustrated, taking away your power and control so you dislike the bad guy even more for putting you in that predicament. Problem was the execution and instead of being mad at the bad guy you are mad at the developer.
I honestly can't get why people like them so much. shytty gameplay intermixed with often times garbage busy quests.

Skyrim was largely trash, didn't play the others.
There are exceptions but by and large WRPGs aren't shyt (the Witcher 3 and Fallout NV for example). An awful lot of the criticisms aimed at FFXV come from it trying to be a WRPG.
