We're not likely to see the next new main line Final Fantasy in this console generation. It has been said that it wasn't in development concurrently to XV. Budgets have become so large now in the AAA space that I can see why. Assuming a 3-4 year development cycle you'd be looking at 2020-2021 for the next title. 7-8 years into the console generation.I hope Square can get back into the groove of having a new FF 1-3 years after another like how it was back then.
Thats list is missing all the expansion packs from ffxi and ffxiv . They pretty much dropped a game every year if you add those in. I think the online games are better than the single player games. You pay monthly and you get 4 major updates a year and then a huge expansion pack follows.I hope Square can get back into the groove of having a new FF 1-3 years after another like how it was back then.

Gameplay is up there with MGS in gameplay. I wish they told the story better and gave the character more time with (
Dam. Games still fun. But there's definitely been points where it seems like. Well. We're going here now and you just barely get an explanation or after you get there there's a vague explanation. I'm also at a point in the story where I can't explore the open world anymore and I hope they let me again before the end of the game. There's gear I wanted to buy and was gonna go back but now im stuck with what I got and have no way to make money.

This games main story is about the boy coming up age into a man. The covered the homies and handled it well but they didnt do the romance well at all. I was expecting Noct to get to spend spme time with Luna in Altissia in a romantic scene in a romantic night setting on the gondolier and show up why we as viewers would get some type of feeling when she dies. I loved how they handled it with Titus and Yuna but Luna i see as more of a older sister that i hardly knew or care about. Such a missed opportunity. They could have toned the weak boss fight down to concentrate more on that. Take the player through the experience of friendship (experience with the homies) and then the experience with " that girl" while they feel the coming of age like the character..that would leave more of an impression.
Also, the off-screen stuff like Ignis losing his eyes and not fleshing out and take advantage is Prompto being an artificial human. At least have a cut scene of how he lost his eyes and utilized the long ass chapter 13 and have Ardyn control Prompto to attack you and you wondering why and come to find out dude was created in the lab. shyt make it where he fought the control because he was a real ass homie...and you breaking the machine to free him from the controls..so much missed opportunities.
What chapter is open world cut off?
The open world is cut off in most of Chapter 13. Other than that you always have access to it. There's a gameplay mechanic that lets you revisit it anytime you want from any resting point. From a story perspective after chapter 8 you aren't in the open world anymore though.
ohhh. I thought that was to replay missions already completed. So I can I go run some hunts. Do you know if you can free roam after you beat the game?
