Just wrapped this up. My thoughts as probably one of the few that hasn't played the original.
Yuffie is obviously is stupid good in combat and super likable. Wonder if we are actually going to be able to customize our lineup in pt 2. Since in pt 1 you always had a group set up for you.
Combat was as great as I remembered playing it a few months ago. It just took only a few battles to get back into a rythem. Altho it honestly felt easier then the base game in all honestly. Then again I haven't played the base game or the DLC on hard mode yet. I am saving that for when I replay right before pt 2 comes out.
People are gonna gripe about the length, but 7 hrs was good for me. I wasn't expecting it to be as long as Blood & Wine from Witcher 3 or Torna from XC 2. Of course more content would be appreciated.
Will def be interesting to see the direction they go.

In the original, you were able to pick and choose groups with certain members being the unavailable at different points in the game. I would assume that it will still be the case going forward.
Just gets annoying having to swap out materia between members.

This was the perfect length for me, i still had more to do, i kinda rushed through chapter 2 because of R&C releasing but if you do everything and the VR battles its like 6-7 hours.
Thats not bad for 20 dollars at all. I’m pro less filler. Episode 1 of FF7 imo opinion could have also been a lot shorter also
That game could have been 15-20 hours tops and been better off

Downloaded the DLC but ended up playing the main story as a refresher longer than I expected, gonna finish this re-play then do the Yuffie DLC
All that's left is hard mode but I might finish Persona 5 first. Just wanted to beat Weiss really but a friend of mine told me I didn't like Fort Condor because I didn't understand it so I had to make an example out of her

Finished the DLC it was cool for what it was. Still gotta do hard mode and get the DLC trophies, but I'm gonna hold off on those for the time being.
