Good looking out :obama:

Right now I just finished the map in the woods (still on Chapter 1). I have Ramza as a knight, and I've got a black mage, a white mage, and another Knight in my party. I have another character that's still a squire. No casualties yet, but I've definitely had to reset a couple of times because of the fact. These random encounters :picard:

You guys have mentioned black mages, white mages, thieves, and knights as classes I should train up. What are some of the better classes? Which classes should I avoid?

Build up on Mandalia Plains and reach at least level 15 before going to Dorter Trade,City. Learn new abilities from Chemist, Knight, archer, thief, Monk, and so on for the warrior classes in your unit. Stock up on potions and phoenix downs. Get more Gil by learning the "steal gil" as a Thief in battles.

Stock, stock, stock. Dont even bother going to the next story battle until you do so.

yeah it was an enjoyable game, it gets sad though when you get geared out and out-level stuff because it gets easy I remember, the struggle to get that point is fun though

Yep.

Went though two PS1s, about four or five controllers and a TV fukking around with that game. Definitely one of my all time favorites

I remember when I was playing..I literally took a month and a half from progressing through the story to build up. I had a black mage maxed out with time mage abilities maxed out, a priest maxed with oracle abilities maxed out. If I had both of them nikkas out..nikkas were getting hit with spells with black mage while I had my priest casting shyt on the team to bolster defenses or go kamikaze on offense when needed.

When you have advanced Job classes like Ninja in a story battle in Chapter 1 or 2, its like :banderas:

On his first playthrough?:dead:

To each their own, but god damn that is alot of grinding before the 4th or 5th battle in the game.

No spoilers, but the best advice in the thread is make a 2nd save before entering Riovanes castle

Trust me, it will be more than worth it. Being vastly superior to your enemies in story battles makes this game a joy to play with.

The year 3030
could never fully get into FFTA. Didn't really like the judge system

Mercenary Saga is a decent alternative to FFT on the switch, if you want something simpler than Disgaea
