Idk if you beat the game but the remakes events are heavily inferred to occur in a separate timeline with characters from the original timeline interacting with it.

Im not saying it's a true sequel, but technically it does take place after the original games events.

Naw, got the first one sitting in a box and waiting for me still.

It’s just the way my brain works, don’t like splitting a story up over years.

I’m the same with Anime or TV series i wanna watch. Ima wait till the story is complete.

Watching/playing pieces then waiting years in between is nasty to me

Especially something like this, in which i already know the story, i couldn’t imagine spreading the shyt out over 15 years.

Breh, you can keep leaning on the the name being "Remake" all you want, but they start letting you know pretty early on in the game that it's not just a remake, and is instead something different entirely. The main subplot is about the main characters realizing that they're creating a divergent timeline where the events of the original game don't play out as originally intended.

They just thought they were being clever with calling it "Remake" to give the plot a little bit of extra punch.
