I could never get into the F&F series, even when it moved on from cars to being an extremely over the top action series. I've seen the first two movies and then the first one (and maybe the second) with the Rock. Wasn't impressed with any of them. Characters were too smug/annoying, dialogue is god awful, and I never liked Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez or Paul Walker. I only watched the first two because I worked at a video store at the time and we could rent everything for free. :pachaha:

Last two Die Hard movies have been trash (the one in Russia is a complete embarrassment for the series and Bruce), but the OG is a Top 5 action film, the 2nd is a classic, and the 3rd one is good.

I love me some Die Hard 2 :ohlawd:

Die Hard 3 is very good though. I've got fond memories of going to see that in the movie theater that summer. I need to run through the first three movies soon. I haven't seen the third one in close to 20 years, probably.

No Whammies!!
Exactly, the FF movies there are no consequences or really any sort of realism..like none at all, just a bunch of fukkery that people find entertaining. McClane would always be fukked up, especially in die hard 1 and 3. All bloody, barley walking, just about ready to pass out.

Die Hard 1 came out in an era when action heroes were expected to be superheroes. That's why when it first came out it was absolutely shocking to see John getting put out of commission by having to pull broken glass out of his feet.
This was an era when Rambo use to do surgery on himself with gunpowder and bowie knives and shrug it off like it was nothing.

If you didn't know there was going to be a sequel, you really thought McClane could die.

This a tough one. I do enjoy the fast and furious series, and even have the boxset. Even though the premise has changed from street racing to whatever else they can think of, you already know what to expect. I don't think I've seen the latest one tho. Was that the one when Paul Walker died or was there one after that? I would vote for that but I feel like I gotta revisit the die hard series and watch a few of the films again since I'm sure it's been many years. I'll have to hold off for now.

Having just rewatched Die Hard 4K 30th anniversary UHD bluray I have to go with it even if i dont care for the sequels.

The FF movies are forgettable fun. Disposable. So i go with the franchise with an all-timer.

Even if i own more FF movies

It looks good but it's not a crazy improvement over the existing. The Matrix on the other hand looks incredible.

I'm hearing Braveheart and Saving Private Ryan do as well.

Jurassic Park doesn't look that hot.

What are you waiting for the you can get a player for like $120
