With Michaels sabotaging careers and still wrestling, it would have taken away from some of Stone Cold's momentum. They didn't start consistently beating Nitro until mid 98 when Michaels had a diminished role.

There's no way Vince would've let HBK bury Austin, by the time WM14 was happening it was clear Vince was pushing him to the moon.

@mrken12 even admitted it's not the top guys fault...unless it's HBK LOL. He still hasn't mentioned all these top tier careers HBK sabotaged.

only one i would argue for as an HBK fan is Vader

i never cared for Shane Douglas, nobody here ever and i mean EVER talks about him.

he was fukked up for getting Foley out of the main event of WM15..that was a shytty move.

Ehh that actually made more sense to me. Everybody knew WM15 was ending with Austin on top again, they just needed to find out how they were getting there.

Rock/Foley had been done to death, was sick of that shyt.

Now Him campaigning for HHH to be Austin's opponent was some silly ass shyt:mjlol:

They got rid of Bret and all of that to make room for Austin...Austin was on his way when they did the Tyson angle. So that was where he started to look bigger than everyone in the WWF.

Again, without Austin there is no Rock.

Austin's insane popularity allowed the Rock character to grow to the point where he was ready to take over.

Company is out of biz without Austin.
Nah.

The way The Rock was getting over in NOD, you knew dude was gonna be the next big thing. It was only a matter of time. He was gonna be there regardless of Austin. I think Austin was the perfect wrestler to compliment and help elevate him though.

Yes.

The company was going down while Rock was busy being Rocky Maivia.

Trust, I'm an OG Rock fan. I remember when I was the ONLY kid in school who liked the Rock in late 97 early 98.

The reality is, Austin being the top guy allowed the Rocks character to grow & progress naturally & with no pressure until it was time for them to feud in 99.
