They have a lot of work to do on the Democratic front. Those countries are notoriously free for the most part.
Leftists should reject the idea that Socialism shouldn't be intertwined with Democracy. They should come together as a package.
Agreed. Raul is more pragmatic it seems so at least some things can be put in place. If the exiles, minus the right wingers, could be involved that could help imo with bringing ideas for a new system of Democracy on the island. But you're right, Socialism has to be linked to a Democratic reform so none of the bullshyt from this country doesn't undo the good that's been done.
