Ecclesiastes 5
8 If thou seest the oppression of the poor, and violent perverting of judgment and justice in a province, marvel not at the matter
"starting?"This is starting to feel co opted brehs
"starting?"
LOL.
Now the majority of the protesters out there are white. Part of me knew this would happen.
While it is interesting, at the same time I see it as a white guilt reaction that is starting to become a "scause".
If you remember the South Park episode, "scauses" were slogans based on real social issues that had devastating effects being reduced to rubber wristbands printed on the slogan.
This event has really hammered it into my head that white people will never give a shyt about us and will reduce "Black lives matter" to a meaningless slogan to be sold like "Save the Tatas" and "Livestrong" cause they never cared about us at all.
This time come next year, they'll be reaping the benefits of their privilege yet again while talking to their friends in their loft apartments in gentrified neighborhoods tellling their circle of white friends how inspiring that was without any sort of concern for the future of those black people they marched for and did nothing in retrospect other than make social media blog posts about it. Whereas, we're still getting killed out here all willy nilly. This isn't a joke.
