I'm just happy that wrestling has a second show doing decent numbers:yeshrug:

Luckily they have 4 (ok 3:mjlol:) guys that were over before starting this up unlike Impact and they've done a good job building homegrown talent whilst having known talent at the wheel now.

That’s pretty damn impressive for Arhur Ashe :leon:

Are ticket prives comparable? This a big W for AEW regardless of that, just curious about it because if they aren't cheap (or not cheaper than MSG) there's literally no way for WWE to spin this :russ:

Can't even sell 9k at MSG???? Man I love Roman's run but it really is Agustín in 01' in more ways than 1 :picard:

people forgot that AEW had by far the most hyped crowds before the pandemic, i was in one myself and that shyt was bananas :wow:

they ain’t flawless by any means but they been doing well for the most part this entire time, now that crowds finally coming byke they can start to flourish again :ehh:

they definitely gotta fix the botches at the end of big shows though :pachaha: the sparklers and Jericho’s mattress are their biggest fukkups so far

But aren’t they doing the same where AEW is hosting? I did a quick research and AA Stadium is it NY. It can hold more people than MSG (close to 23k. MSG is about 2k less).

Says all attendees for wwe must be double vaxxed for the garden.

$400 for lower level seating :whoo:

For Arthur Ashe stadium no vax or mask required. Feel free to fill it up to the rafters.

Funny how you use a tennis website instead of Ticketmaster, which gives a warning about safety.

As the state of the pandemic continues to improve in our region, the USTA National Tennis Center is committed to the safe return of fans to the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center for events. Fan safety protocols will be implemented based on guidance from medical professionals and governmental agencies and in full compliance with state and local regulations. Any applicable fan safety protocols will be communicated prior to the event.

I mean, we don’t know if it’s WWE or MSG making the decision, but I think they had trouble selling out MSG pre-Covid years (2018/2019). :patrice:

I looked up Arthur Ashe stadium and US Open was the first event that popped up. If they’re not requiring people going to the US Open to be masked or vaccinated do you think all of sudden they’ll require it for wrasslin? Common sense would tell you no.

like I said, fill that bytch up.. in fact install additional seating.

I did a quick look in the Heath protocols and they mention vacs and proper Covid safety. :skip:

This stooging is its own virus. :picard:

The problem was they heavily saturate the market when they come to ny. All the main shows in Barclays and multiple house shows in the garden. Sometimes for two weeks straight. Then they go to NJ or upstate. After they stopped doing live tv at the garden, they haven't been able to sell it out.

I guess reading isn’t your strong suit. Shocking.
There’s a difference between reading and scanning. I went back to look at both and yea, they are different. According to the US Open site, AA is doing it verbally while on Ticketmaster the E show needs proof. So yeah, it’s probably safe to say the AEW show has more freedom.

But like I said, wasn’t the E struggling to sell out MSG before? If yeah, it just goes to show the interest in their product is low. :patrice:

One of the things I think that has endured AEW to its audience is sheer effort. Its not perfect by any stretch but you can't say they are not trying to be great. You can't say they aren't trying to give us moments. In contrast to WWE who mails it in 50 to 75% of the time without any shame about it.

Another thing is that whenever AEW laid an egg, they bounce right back afterwards and redeemed themselves.

-The blood and guts ending
-The exploding deathmatch gaffe
-That one Dynamite where the dark order laid out everybody and that one dude that had the bad worked punches.

I was never one of these folks that thought AEW was going to "change the world" and start a revolution. I just wanted a weekly wrestling show that didn't feel like a slog and chore to get though.

Like a couple of people have said, are the prices comparable?

MSG Knicks tickets are expensive as hell compared to Barclays and the nets.

Just being objective since I watch both products
