Well my plan was to go on a caloric deficit. Stay under 2000. While I admit to not counting calories. I figure sandwiches and chicken salad should get me there

There is different ways to attack it but you could easily be too far under when its not needed. I would count for a month to week until you get a feel for it. A lot of people here can basically eyeball it when needed.
