Make no mistake, the online drug black market is a hydra and Silk Road just happened to be the one head that was spitting the hottest flames. Chop one off and many will just spawn in it's place.
Remember Napster? Went down and WinMX took it's place... then that went down and Limewire took it's place, then Frostwire. Then? People just start making blogs and posting links. If we want to be real, I mean really real, I was in 10th Grade when Napster hit and I remember having to check tracklistings and shyt to make sure I had a complete album. If I wanted to DL Drakes new album right now (not that I would want to
) I could have that shyt in like 5 minutes just by Googling the shyt or hopping on a link on YouTube or perusing the profiles of...uh..other message boards
Who remembers NinjaVideo? That shyt went down and the whole internets butthole clenched up. Where were people gonna stream movies and TV shows from then? Flash forward to 2013...Icefilms, Movie2k, Alluc...the shyt is actually even easier NOW.
You cannot stop the internet. And more importantly, anything that becomes integrated with the Internet becomes 10x more powerful than it was before. The feds need to think about this as they waste billions of dollars on this drug war when they could be making billions of dollars in tax revenues...
