I'm a supervisor for air traffic control. We're short staffed anyway so I'm straight. Now the bargaining union members are sweating a bit. They're up for a new contract negotiations next year so it's looking a bit spooky. But the worst part is that a lot of them voted for Trump. Because prices would be lowered and immigrants or something lol
I never would have guessed there were (at least) two air traffic controllers on the Coli (another cat posted earlier in the thread).

Think bigger. What they really hate is regulations impacting big businesses. I really feel they should be able to do what they want. You have heard the talking point smaller government, less regulations. As far as race, they really don't care. Once you leave the DMV the number of black federal employees drop.
So you believe we should let Big Corporations do what they want, and not be held accountable for their fukk ups?

I'm a Fed worker. Everyone is on pins and needles right now. I'm using alot of my "use or lose" leave after Thanksgiving, but a lot of my employees are expecting something big.

I agree with @The Realist Perspective as well; I feel a lot of dumb people DO need to be let go. I'll look for one of my previous posts, but when Trump got in office the 1st time, I dealt with some of the worst people you can imagine. And all of them disliked me because I was young & black and they felt I didn't "deserve" my job. I expect more of the same these next 4 years.

Rumors that I've heard so far is:

-Fed workers over the age of 55 will be forced to accept a buyout to permanently retire
-They will add legislation to allow career employees to be fired/let go without consequence
-All(almost all) black clerical employees will be let go
55 being in FERS for that long with pension plus TSP growth over the past 15 yrs....u good. Retire, keep the health care they give u which is amazing and double dip before social security....

Amazing package to me

What will probably happen is something like sequestration but on steroids. It reaked havoc during Obama the way it was implemented.

Obama’s hand forced on sequester

Vivek Ramaswamy, who has vowed to cut 75% of the federal workforce, will co-chair the initiative.

There would be blood in the streets if he cut 75% of the federal workforce

I think it's inevitable you'll see downsizing in the Federal Government. Maybe not 75% but theyll be lots of pain. The level of deficit spending just isn't sustainable.

During sequestration there was across the board budget cuts. I think the same thing will happen. Because the money for all these tax cuts has to come from somewhere. The Government has downsized before and history tends to repeat itself.

Remember when it was said that Project 2025 would destroy what's left of the black middle class? The federal government employs a large amount of black people. Their desire to dismantle the federal govt is not by accident.

With that said if you're a federal worker here's a video that may help you through these times.

But Both Sides, though. :ohhh:
