No, same format as the US shows on networks, apart from the HBO/Showtime ones, where they have no breaks and there eps range from 50-60mins to fill an hour. You get the odd BBC1 show that has the same time length as the HBO/Showtime shows but thats it. Everything else works to a 22-25min for half an hour show and 40-45 mins for an hour show.

You will get the odd season where it might go 14-16eps and I know Shameless did 22 eps per season once but that was far too much. Misfits has been between 6-8 eps per season, Skins has varied from 7-10 eps per season.

It was Brass Eye. I bought The Day Today on DVD last year but I haven't gotten around to watching it yet.

I remember the Peadogeddon episode had just come out when I came to this country. It was one of the 1st British programs I ever saw. I was all the way.

It was very controversial too. Next day I was going to work with my dad in the car and on the radio this lady was saying how outraged she was. The interviewer asked her, "have u even seen the show?" and she said no. Dumb b!tch.

I really gotta get around to watching The Day Today tho.

i love British comedy, this was ending on netflix so i figured i should marathon it... man i tried, i tried. one of the most insufferable main characters of all time. got through 4 episodes, couldn't keep going
