My grandpa's house had AC but it was set up a long time ago back when it was a 2br1bath house. He added more rooms and a second floor to the house over the years, The ventilation was still designed for a smaller house though,so parts of the house would be hot and there was one vent on the floor in the living room. He would lay on the floor and read the newspaper during the summers and often feel asleep right there on the floor.my folks could only afford one AC at the time so of course it was in their bedroom so when it got really hot during the summer we’d sleep on the floor in their room
