So I finally watched the HQ Cam version, I fell asleep after they went after Doom in the other dimension though.

Where do I start? 1st off I feel like a F4 movie should never be a "dark" movie. It was like Trank watched the Batman trilogy, threw in some basic F4 pieces and made the movie. The F4 in this movie aren't even a team, Johnny & Sue are suppose to be brother and sister but act completely the opposite. Sue doesn't even act like she's Storm's daughter, she looks/acts like his lab partner. The Reed and Ben friendship was stupid, Ben did nothing to help Reed from what I saw but somehow he's Reed's BFF, sure FOX. Basically the characters are nothing like the ones from the Comic. No playboy Johnny, Reed is a poor man's Tony Stark with no charisma, Sue is like those girls in high school who had their head in the books and rarely spoke, and Ben is a loser who got a free ride. Like come on brehs. this nikka became the Thing because he decided to pick up his phone one night and they had a vacant spot :snoop: Every aspect of Doom was so :beli: I don't want to even talk about him.

Why the fukk does the majority of the movie take place in two places :what:

The whole thing with them sending themselves had to be the dumbest shyt ever, i don't care if they were drunk or not :snoop:

"Hey brehs let go to the other dimension and explore, we'll be the 1st ones to do it :gladbron:"

"But we only tested it once…..on a monkey :lupe:"

"Naw fukk that it works 100% breh "

"But what about the security who should be guarding this machine to make sure nothing like this happens? :lupe:"

":beli:"

"Aight :manny:, let me call up my boy since we got an extra spot"

Then the Super Smart Reed sticks his hand in an alien river :snoop:

I can't continue, this movie is :trash: x infinity Batman & Robins + Catwoman

good points all around.

I could write a paper about this movie's shortcomings that would be longer than the actual screenplay

Apparently some of the stuff in the trailer isn't in the movie.
You mean just like age of ultron? Another film that had behind the scenes struggles and quite obviously had a hack job done in editing afterwards so much so that joss whedon has walked away from marvel? :ohhh:

Everything about Doom was jacked up. Beyond just getting the character itself wrong, but even with the b*stardized version they created.

Like just before the final battle...

-SPOILERS people should read anyway b/c the movie should only be watched out of morbid curiosity-

"Doom" runs through the complex by blowing up people's heads left & right with his mind powers at will. When he gets to a planet where all his power comes from and has even more power, what does he do when facing the Human Torch?

Throw rocks at him.

What does he do when he faces The Thing?

Throws bigger rocks at him.

What does he do when he asks aloud where Sue's at (when there's no way in the movie he can even know she can turn invisible?)

Throw rocks to reveal her invisible force field and then throw more rocks to break the force field.

What does he do when Mr. Fantastic comes through to save the day?

Yep. Rocks. (To break the bands that let him control his form when, again, "Doom" couldn't know that detail.)

And what defense does he use when they manage to shake off the all the previous rocks and come together to fight him at once?

Mother. fukking. Rocks.

In the immediately previous scene, you establish this "Doom" can crush skulls with his mind and, instead of even attempting to do that with any of the FF (or even throwing in a line of garbage comic movie science that their having the same energy prevents him from exploding their heads) your only action is to have "Doom" slinging more rocks than all trap rap ever combined.

So fukking dumb. (but I went in knowing it's bad, so I was entertained :pachaha:)

The difference being that Fox left out a major action shot that was the center piece of their trailer involving a major character. While Marvel left out something that showed an unnamed person who had so little to do with the story the movie didn't suffer with us never seeing her and it was only a brief flash in the trailer. Fox even put in a joke and dialog in the trailer to set up the scene that never appears in the movie.

Both movies suffered cuts but the cuts hurt this one A LOT more. Yeah cutting Thor's story hurt Age of Ultron but the cuts here left FF with no legs at all. A lot of movies get made in the editing bay, like Jaws for instance, but it can either be helpful or hurtful and in this case (and age of ultron to a degree, to me anyway) it hurts the overall movie a lot. Tale of two halves
