Between production and promotion let's say it costs 100 to 150 mil to make a f4 movie. If this doesn't recoup y'all think Fox is gonna go thru it all over again just to stick it to Marvel?

Pride vs Money

• They can keep the rights forever by simply releasing a shytty low budget 'movie' to a handful of theaters every few years, that would satisfy the terms of the agreement. They wouldn't make any money but it would only cost them peanuts. It would just be an F U to Marvel.

• Or they can throw another 150 million at it and hope the 4th time's a charm. Spend big money to try and make big money... but now at an even greater risk to not recoup.

• Or, they can strike out a deal with Marvel like Sony did. Implement the characters to the winning formula and split the revenue.

Easy money would be option 3 imo, with whatever terms of agreement. But if things are too petty between the companies or Fox thinks they can still pull it off dolo...

i understand that, but even then, that's getting to other points while trying to skip point A: the F4....to get introduced to the other characters in their world, you gotta get introduced to them first, and it seems people just arent interested in them....unless yall figure marvel would say fukk the F4 and just use the others...

I think XMen and Spider-Man kinda dispels the "people extra hate on this movie cuz it wasn't made by Marvel" myth.

In regards to the 2nd paragraph...

It's not really all about the F4 coming back to Marvel as it is the package.

The package include 1st and most importantly Dr. Doom (I mean Marvel could alone just make a movie on Doom that would be crazy)

Then the Skrulls (they'd be perfect for a phase 4-6 thing).

Possibly Silver Surfer, Galactus, and Namor.


Truth be told, I bet if Marvel could just get back Doom and maybe just any one of the other properties. No one would give a shyt was Fox does with F4.

But the package is ultimately why Marvel fans care, and you have to admit. That is a pretty decent package

i agree...that's a hell of a package to get all the characters attached to the F4....but like i said in the post above: all those characters and the F4 are a package deal....we cant get to the other characters without addressing the F4 first, and that seems to be the issue....it seems no one is interested in the F4 themselves....unless fox and/or marvel are willing to just toss the F4 aside and use the other characters, they need to figure out a way to get people back into the F4...but the fact marvel ended the F4 comic shows they dont care about them until they get the movie rights back....
