Not saying it's perfect breh. I'm not overrating anything. Trust me it's got a lot of issues even in the first half with the interactions and the way sue and reed are with each other but the thing is I have no clue how that would've turned out based on that second half where it seemed like things were set up in the first and then just abandoned or fast forwarded in the second. I just wanted more of what I got for the first hour and wanted to see how that would've turned out. Instead I got two different movies and it's just sloppy and poorly handled. And most of the characters outside of Reed aren't developed well. We agree breh but I stick by what I said that it at least looked like it was going somewhere interesting and it's also possible that those things that seemed to have seeds planted would've gone somewhere but of course we'll never know because it's all thrown to the bushes with the quickness.

We agree except I disagree that it looked like it was going somewhere interesting. The most interesting thing the movie does are the accident itself (if you can ignore the painful CGI) and the scenes directly after which definitely played into that Cronenberg horror stuff you keep bringing up, but that stuff clashed so enormously with what came before it that it already felt incredibly off before the Fox meddling started creeping in and becoming more obvious.

seems the bad reviews, the fact it wasnt made by marvel, maybe it was just a bad movie, whatever the reason caused this to flop....oh well, still gonna check it out...

side note: i find it funny people will say no one is interested in the fantastic four, while saying give the rights back to marvel at the same time...if no one is interested in the F4, marvel doing the movie aint gonna help that...if it does, all that shows is the general public are idiots...

Fox would rather have this shyt flop again than give the rights back to marvel :mjlol::mjcry:

Fox domestic distribution chief Chris Aronson had this to say about these numbers:"While we're disappointed, we remain committed to these characters and we have a lot to look forward to in our Marvel universe."

I think XMen and Spider-Man kinda dispels the "people extra hate on this movie cuz it wasn't made by Marvel" myth.

No man.... It was just a legitimately bad movie.

In regards to the 2nd paragraph...

It's not really all about the F4 coming back to Marvel as it is the package.

The package include 1st and most importantly Dr. Doom (I mean Marvel could alone just make a movie on Doom that would be crazy)

Then the Skrulls (they'd be perfect for a phase 4-6 thing).

Possibly Silver Surfer, Galactus, and Namor.

Truth be told, I bet if Marvel could just get back Doom and maybe just any one of the other properties. No one would give a shyt was Fox does with F4.

But the package is ultimately why Marvel fans care, and you have to admit. That is a pretty decent package

This was very informative. And towards the end is also why I said this earlier:

I guess stranger things have happened but the idea that fox would ever just give up the F4 franchise to Disney for a lump sum... seems like a stretch.

What's more likely to happen, if anything, is what Sony did with Spiderman, i.e. they'll give "access" to Disney to use the character(s) but with certain arrangements in place as far as # of appearances, portrayals, and how the resulting check(s) gets split.

If Fox's greed for money exceeds whatever pettiness they and Disney have for each other, I could see Fox number crunching to see if the hypothetical money made by 'leasing' the F4 to Disney wouldn't surpass the amount they're making (or may end up losing) by trying (and once again failing) to set up shop by themselves.

i.e. Fox aint ever returning shyt unless its some type of trade off or they lease out the characters with an agreed upon profit-share, like how Sony now lets Marvel use Spiderman, even tho Sony still owns the rights.

Interestingly enough, the video claims that when Fox was late on reattaining the rights to Daredevil, they actually offered Disney the full rights back for Galactus and Silver Surfer in exchange for letting them keep Matt Murdock and friends... but Disney declined.

Between production and promotion let's say it costs 100 to 150 mil to make a f4 movie. If this doesn't recoup y'all think Fox is gonna go thru it all over again just to stick it to Marvel?
