The idea that you can go to a store and buy cigarettes (an item that does nothing but kills you)...
...but you cant use your own money to gamble is just crazy to me.

This shyt isnt going anywhere though.
The NBA has already stood behind DFS and says it wants it around...and im pretty sure MLB did too.

Unlike the Poker boom...all of these DFS sites are based in the USA and pay taxes.
These politicians are just trying to make a name.

NBA is smart to stand behind them.....DFS is sooo much better for NBA than NFL its not even funny. Once more people become woke to this it will really help the NBA's popularity. Assuming the government doesn't shut down the sites first which they probably will :mjlol:

They take a rake from every entrance fee, those dudes are fukking caking.

That doesn't compare to the amount they've been spending on marketing. They got deals with every major sports league and Ed Norton doing commercials that ish ain't cheap.:francis:

Interesting position by NY. This is pretty much the opposite of the marijuana situation. Fantasy sports "gambling" is explicitly allowed by Federal law.

shyt will be crazy if NHL wakes up. IF they moved to the summer, theyd only have to compete with MLB for that fantasy money. nikkas will have no choice but to watch NHL to flip lineups :whew:

Why DraftKings and FanDuel Spent $206 Million on Ads This Year

Company: DraftKings

Valuation: $1.2 billion

Total capital raised:$375 million

2014 Revenues: $30 million

2015 TV ad spend to Oct. 5:$131.4 million

Company: FanDuel

Valuation: $1.3 billion

Total capital raised:$361 million

2014 Revenues: $57 million

2015 TV ad spend to Oct. 5:$74.5 million

Bear in mind advertising is just part of their operating budget and those tv numbers don't cover all of that.. They still have employee costs, legal, property expenses etc.
