I like this game but watching some of the reviews where they reference Fallout 3 and older games got me like :francis:
No weapon degradation, fast travel, and unkillable companions do seem like bad design choices. There isn't a real survival aspect to the game.

But I'm just playing on hard :lolbron:. Bumping it to Survival from now on.

I did all them side missions but don't get the old school Bethesda end game update on the characters :francis:

Went with the Railroad and murdered every fukking BOS member I could find (think i posted this earlier but one of them mufukkas shot me earlier in my playthrough before I even met them with a fatman...:francis: vowed to murder every one of them off GP after that)... I even hung out on the blimp to snipe the star paladins at the airport before i blew it up (I crafted a special recon scope sniper rifle called BOS skull buster just in case I found myself in a position where it was no way to get to the location of a BOS member:ggguuurrrllll:smile:...i even went back to fort hood to track down Danse buzz lightyear looking ass so I could murk him to after i did the final mission...he just happened to be there :francis:

Obviously if you pick the railroad to side with you will notice a certain someone doesn't die and you get a chance to take a certain someone with you...that had better be a DLC so I can finish him off :francis:...I was all good with the Institute until he "ordered" me to take out the Railroad...nah breh :ggguuurrrllll:...I'm a level 68 goon outchea with maxed lady killer perk, maxed intimidation perk, and maxed animal friend perk...:ggguuurrrllll:...I send deathclaws and rad roaches to go do battles with my enemies:ggguuurrrllll:...women do what I say when I say how I say:ggguuurrrllll:...I pass red speech checks 100% of the time:ggguuurrrllll:...I even took the ghoul perk so radiation heals me overtime breh I walk across the glowing sea butt ass naked with no fukks given and then run up on the children of atom temple with an army of radscorpions like :shaq:...you aint "ordering" me to do shyt :ggguuurrrllll:

Now it's back to cities skylines for awhile and then go through a "bad" playthrough...so i guess this time we can get it in together:lolbron:
You not fukkin with the Commonwealth Crips
tho... :umad:
That's my mercenary squad :lolbron:
Stay outta Hangmans an Starlight!! :demonic:

I'm not doing another playthrogh until FWE drops, or whatever they call the best overhaul this time around. I need h20, food and sleep to be needed, I need rads x3, I need more weather systems, I need twice the armor and weapons, I need a better UI... Once all that's met I'll playthru again. And obviously I WANT more good quality quest mods but I can hair install those as they come... An alternate start would be nice too but there's a lot of dialog based on the start so it'll take a while. Also wouldn't mind it being harder to join BOS since that's hard in every other FO game. Minutemen should have you claim every settlement before you're general... Also gunners are an interesting group, they're like Talon Company in the way that they have lots of enemies and bases but few related quests, would love to see an NCR or legion replacer for them... That would take a while though and need a new quest for MacReady, so I'd settle for a talon company replacer... I mean T company was supposed to be huge commonwealth to capital is possible

Not to mention the completely overhaul on the perks/skill system made this game painfully easy. Players need to be limited on what they can do, and role play to their strengths.

Fast travel might be necessary, though it does feel a bit cheap to me since fusion cores aren't affected by it. Then again, no one wants to travel back by foot every time a settlement is under attack.

If being hungry/tired/degradation was implemented fast travel could just speed up those affects, or using it puts you in the general area off course of a location but not safe from danger.

finally getting back into this, haven't played since early November so im sure im behind most of you.
Just got to lvl 6 last night :obama:

finally able to face multiple enemies and not die constantly. I just need to know where :dahell: I can get fusion cell ammo for my plasma rifle and how can I make easy money (bottlecaps)? My power armor cell core is low and I need anew one. :francis:

or can it be recharged? :ohhh:

you need to find some synth hangouts...there is a place around the center of the map called mass bay medical center...it is overrun with super mutants but then there is another place right behind it that is a subway station that has a bunch of synths in it...even on survival using a regular gun to kill them all I walked out of their with over 500 rounds...

Also, and I am not sure if people notice this...but when killing an enemy if they drop their weapon ALWAYS pick up the weapon then loot their bodies...when you pick up their weapon you always get a full clip of ammo, if you just loot their bodies you seem to get whatever ammo it says you get and only a little ammo from the weapon...

You going to need some good armor though cause those institute pistols will put you down quick...especially early in the game...

My first playthrough I was struggling when I happened upon that spot with an automatic pipe pistol and a 10mm with hardly any ammo

Yeah I was a little disappointed with more than my fair share of the quest. Almost every sidequest boils down to me this guy do speech challenge for more caps go kill this thing or pick up this item come back get paid.

Although if you take the lady killer / black widow perk and the intimidation perk you get A LOT of extra dialog choices...i took both and toward the end of the game I could pretty much just :stopitslime: my way out of any situations...i just straight up intimidated my way out of some missions...

I don't really like the companion like or dislike system...you have to typically make a pure good or bad character for it to work well otherwise you constantly get "didn't like that"...

They also need to give you some prompts on what to do next for some missions...I must have done 10 of those railroad radiant missions after Desdemonda told me something to the effect of "keep helping people here and when i am ready for the final mission i will let you know" I just happened to go to the institute and then a thing happened to trigger the final mission but if I had not gone their I never would have triggered it...

You also have to do a very specific thing to trigger the real minutemen ending and the game doesn't give you any real hint on what you have to do...my wife got that ending after she thought she had fukked up the game :mjlol:...

I was hoping for more unique type quest, like arefu vampires or andale cannibals. I didn't mind the new companion system though, because I thought it was realistic, like not everyone out there would be rocking with you or what you're about,,, it's just me Cait MacCready and dogmeat lol

if you don't like fast travel, don't use it. to me these games are more interesting when I'm not just teleporting around the map

I try to use it sparingly, but at the same time I have a life and would like to get through the game. I try to houserule it to only use when dumping off loot & collecting caps at workshops
